Ddcreations999 Hi! My name is Diana and I'm an aspiring optometrist that loves to crochet/knit as a hobby. Here is a compilation of the creations I've made over the years.

I hope you enjoy my content and thank you for supporting me through this journey!

Day 29: Symmetry/Asymmetry

I have a tendency to make my creations as symmetrical as possible when applicable, but I also tend to take photos and design posts that have an asymmetry to them ☺️.

Day 23: Books

I have never read any crochet books, nor do I own any, but that doesn’t mean I don’t read books while crocheting… most of my reading is eye-related though as you can see 👀

Day 22: Time Travel

When I first read this prompt, the first though that came to mind were these pandas. Traveling back in time to the first full-body panda I’ve made and fast-forwarding to my most recent rendition made the most sense to me. The version to the left, which I’m sure many of you are familiar with, is my travel buddy BaoBao and one of my first amigurumi projects. BaoBao adapted from a pattern by Studio Crafti. Fast forward to the panda on the right, a gift I made for a classmate for graduation, was made from a pattern I wrote myself! I’m hoping to make more creations in this style in the near future ☺️.

Day 19: Sailing or Flying

I thought long and hard about what to post for this prompt, and this was the closest I could find 😅. Just Appa flying through the clouds with Toph hehe

Day 11: Day Off or Catch Up!

I am so behind already 😭. But since it’s another catch up day, I figured I’d post something that I meant to post for last year’s challenge. I had meant to post this for the prompt “Amazing Shape” because it was my first creation that involved parts that could move! This is my rendition of Mr. Buckwheat from the Korean drama Goblin or Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. His hood can be adjusted as you can see in the photos above! I had a lot of fun figuring out how to make this happen and I’m very happy with how it turned out 🥰.

Have you watched Goblin?

Day 9: Make Me Smile | Happy Mother’s Day! 💕
Thai scholarship opportunity details below!

My favorite part of crafting is making others smile! I find so much happiness in making those around me happy so gifting what I make has become a big part of my love language.

Pictured are some gifts I made for a friend (top), for a role model/inspiration (middle, see below), and for myself (bottom).

The angel was a gift I made for Ms. Bui Simon, founder, president, and CEO of the Angels Wings Foundation, and Miss Universe 1988. I had the honor of receiving one of her scholarships in 2018. The following year, I was also named a distinguished alumni of her scholarship program, coincidentally on my very own birthday. I’m always so grateful for the opportunities that this scholarship has opened for me, as well as the connections that I’ve made within the Thai community even just by attending the scholarship reception. I would’ve never imagined running into a family friend that I had lost contact with for years there, for instance, or that I would meet a fellow student who was also pursuing optometry. As a token of my gratitude, I created this crochet angel holding wings in the pattern of the Thai flag in honor of the vision of the Angels Wings Foundation and the “wings” of support that this foundation provides to students worldwide to further their education. Applications for the current cycle of the scholarship are currently open (until June 13, 2025), so I highly encourage sharing this opportunity and/or applying if you qualify!

Day 8: Good to know

I recently learned that it’s okay to bring scissors onto certain flights if they’re small enough. Since then, I’ve attached this pair of scissors to my phone so I can more easily craft on-the-go! That and I carry my needles in a little (test) tube 🧪 hehe.

Recently, someone had asked me for advice on how to keep track of stitches. She has a medical condition which makes her feel overstimulated when there’s just too much visual stimuli. As you might imagine, looking at crochet patterns, both on paper and on the creations themselves, is one of those triggers. She told me that in order to count, she has to feel for each stitch as she’s unable to look at them while counting without feeling queasy. I recommended using stitch markers as she she’s crocheting to more easily keep track of things. She was very excited to try it out so I hope it’s been helpful 🥹.
