This week’s win: my friend Abner! ⭐

When this sweet kiddo started with me in August 2025, he had about 7–10 words that others could understand.

Fast forward to now… he is independently using 5+ word sentences to share his thoughts, ideas, and personality!

Lately, he’s been working SO hard on saying his brother’s name (3 syllables—and he’s rocking it!). That kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of consistent effort, support, and teamwork.

I am beyond proud of him and his family for all the dedication they’ve put in. What an incredible journey to witness!

Rufus couldn’t help himself today—he snuck into the Feeding Room for a snack. We didn’t even have time to take a picture before he ate his carrot! 🐰🥕

He loves watching all the “wins” that come out of this room—whether its bottle feeding, moving to solid foods, or picky eaters trying new foods for the first time. Rufus is always there cheering the kiddos along in their progress!

A huge shoutout to our incredible little friend Rocky! 🌟

Rocky and his family have been putting in the hard work on his "ee" sounds and it is officially paying off. This week he was a superstar using words like "see," "me," "sheep," and "bee!"

We are so proud of the dedication shown by our MTW families. Way to go, Rocky!

Rufus is swinging into this week while having some fun in our Children's Play Room!🐰🎉

He loves this room almost just as much as the kids who come here for play-based, child-led therapy. At MTW, we know that children learn best when they feel safe and empowered to explore. We keep this room stocked with a slide, stepping stones, a swing, and a trampoline so the kids (and our mascot Rufus) are always having fun while learning.

Rufus is taking his “Mascot in Training” duties very seriously today! 🐰📚

He’s currently hanging out in our Reading Room where we focus on literacy and vocabulary. Whether we’re exploring a new picture book or working on specific speech sounds, this room is a favorite for many of our MTW kids!

Celebrating with my friend Rayleigh this week! 🎉🎉🎉

Rayleigh has had a total explosion of words recently, and she has officially become a pro at saying “GO!”

It has been absolutely incredible to watch her confidence grow with every new sound. Rayleigh, you are such a hard worker, and we are so incredibly proud of the progress you’re making!

Meet our newest team member and Mascot in Training, Rufus! 🐰🐾

While Meghin handles the speech therapy, Rufus is right beside her making sure the kiddos feel welcomed! He loves meeting new friends and watching them master new sounds (especially if there’s a carrot involved). 🥕

A lot of families are surprised by how cozy and welcoming our private practice feels when they walk through the door for the first time—and our Mascot in Training is a big part of that!
