My friend and fellow horologist Varlen Gibbs passed away. He was an active member of NAWCC Chapter 158 and volunteered at the York Regional Shows.
Varlen L. Gibbs, a lifelong resident of York, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 27, 2026, at York Hospital.
Varlen was a man of exceptional kindness, a generous spirit, and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a steady and loving presence for those who knew him, known for his quick wit and his big heart.

Place:American Legion Post 34, 1388 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, PA, 17601 ENTER IN REAR – Exit off Route 30 onto Route 72 Manheim Pike, right past Park City



Speaker; Al Dodson is an AWCI Certified Master Clockmaker. Al has served as lead clock instructor for the School of Horology. He also has a degree in Micro Precision Technology, has upgraded his skills throughout his career with continuing education, and has over 25 years of experience in clock repair, including management of his own shop in Lexington, KY. His father was a watchmaker, and Al has carried on his father's interests in both the theoretical and practical aspects of horological craftsmanship.
