I want to go back to 2 days ago when that weekend life was the ONLY life. 😂
Member yesterday when I was all optimistic and bushy tailed?
Here’s a recap of the day for your entertainment:
[me, hiding in bed until 9 while the 7 year old feeds and dresses the toddler.]
9:25: frantically get both kids set up in live “class” on separate computers in separate rooms while holding a crying baby.
9:30: Feed a baby while watching Mickey Mouse cwubhouse with a toddler.
9:45: [with baby on my lap] sit with 9 year old as tech support
9:47: discover the toddler IN THE SAME ROOM has found nail polish and brushed her hair and brother’s pillow with it. Still couldn’t tell you where she found it.
9:55: while attempting to clean said pillow, toddler dumps water all over my room and plays in it...
10:15: sit and help 9 year old with assignment [interrupted 6 times by toddler]
11:00: put baby down in brothers room and we play musical chairs. He moves to office for live class, and 7 year old moves to my room.
11:05: discover that the 7 year old has ONCE AGAIN peeled a section of paint off the twice-painted banister. Deal with meltdown. (Mine.)
12:00: assign 9 year old to make lunch for all since I just don’t want to.
1:00: put toddler down for nap, and set up 7 year old for live class. Get up and feed baby.
1-2pm: get visited 235 times by 9 year old who just can’t figure out what narrative means!! (It says guess if you know know, kid! Yes, but what is it???)
3:00: 9 year old is done and even folded his laundry to earn tv time. 👌🏻 baby goes down for nap.
For the last 30 minutes: trying to write this dumb post and literally 23 times the 7 year old has come to ask a question on her assignment. Of those, 21 are about the technology itself. 🙄
God bless us, everyone. 🤦🏻♀️
