Every learner brings something unique to the classroom. Highlight strengths, honor different learning styles, and encourage students to express who they are. 💡✨

2️⃣ Use Multiple Ways to Learn & Show Understanding
Offer lessons in different formats - visuals, hands-on activities, movement, technology, and verbal explanations. Let students show what they know in the way that works best for them. 🎨📖🔊

✨We're throwing it back to our Friendsgiving from last month! PLUS, sharing 5 great tips for making your conversations more inclusive! 🗨️

1. Communication Looks Different for Everyone 🤎 Not every child “talks” with words - and that’s okay!

2. Sensory Awareness at the Table 🤎 The holidays can be a lot - smells, lights, chatter, clinking dishes. For some kids, it’s sensory overload.

3. 5 Easy Signs for the Table 🤎 Here are 5 words to learn signs for that come up a lot during meals: “More”, “Please”, “Thank you”, “All done”, and “Help”. Using both words and signs shows kids that communication comes in many forms - and all are valued.

4. What to Say (and Not to Say) 🤎 When a child doesn’t use words, it can feel awkward - but what we say matters. Skip: “Use your words!” or “He’s shy.” Try: “I love how you’re showing me what you want!” or “It’s okay to take your time.” Celebrate effort and connection - not just speech.

5. The Gift of Inclusion 🤎 Inclusion isn’t about big gestures - it’s about small moments. Sit next to the child using a device. Ask them to show you instead of tell you. Celebrate every way they communicate. This season, the best gift you can give is understanding.
