Fall means football in my world 🏈 Saturdays are for the Gamecocks, Sundays for the Eagles, and honestly the highs and lows of each season have taught me a lot about mental health too. From resilience to community (and even the post-football season blues) there are lessons everywhere.

Are you worried that you will have to "retell" the trauma details or go through the pain again moment by moment? This is something I often hear from new clients about their fears when starting EMDR. When I'm able to tell people that EMDR is not about reliving the worst moments but reprocessing to get their body back to safety, there is often relief. What questions do you have about EMDR? 🌻

Lately, a theme has been weaving its way through so many of my sessions: grief.

Grief isn’t just about death. It can show up in the loss of a relationship, a version of ourselves, a dream, a season of life, or the life we imagined we would have.

Grief is not a problem to fix — it’s an experience to move through. It’s the cost of loving deeply, of caring deeply, of being fully human.
