Who is in charge of billing at UNC Hospitals - and not the people who reply via mychart? I have tried for months to get a bill cleared up and can not get anywhere. I have a great doctor, but someone screwed up and I have tried to report the issue and instead, keep getting bills and the same response that I owe money for a procedure that was not authorized by my insurance!

I really cannot believe that you have changed your masking policy against the Covid. When I went in to Hematology/Oncology this past Monday nine out of ten of the staff wore no masks, and this was true of the patients. One nurse even told me that it was the policy to mirror patients--to don a mask if the the patient was masked and not to wear one if the patient wasn't. I think this is ridiculous. I will say a few of the staff members I encountered concurred with my assessment.
You make it awfully hard for me to send you an email. Covid variants are on their way this fall, have actually already crossed the Atlantic from Great Britain, one of my elderly relatives got sick enough to end up in critical care, and it is not intelligent to wait for the booster or wait for someone to get sick. Particularly in oncology, where so many patients' immune systems are compromised.

Kittner Eye Center parking. I fell over one of these yesterday. These things are hazards and there needs to be something else there. Please get rid of them. I know several people who have had bad falls over these. My mom got hurt very badly in Connecticut tripping over this. They are not helpful. I was careful, I put my hand on the hood of my car to help me off the curb. But my foot got stuck in the gap. I don't ewant anyone else to get hurt. One of my friends follower these and had to get double knee replacement.
I've been calling the last few days to find out about bills paid in 2022. The phone number is 984-974-2222.
Problem #1 - the message I receive when waiting says the phone is staffed until 6pm. However, it closes at 5pm or earlier. Can someone update the message?
Problem #2 - I called first around 4:15 today and 30 callers were ahead of me!! I think you need more staff helping patients with billing!
Problem #3 - after hours no one picks up. When a caller tries to leave a message, it goes to a survey. The message says something like dial this number for help, but it goes to survey. At that point, I can guarantee you the caller isn't happy, so you probably get bad ratings from that.
I have an initial question but also want to point out a few problems with UNC Billing and the UNC mychart (myuncchart.org). First issue: I am looking for payments we made in 2022 when my husband had multiple appointments and hospitals stays. So many hospital stays. When I look at payments, I only see the current payment due. I want to find payments from 2022 for taxes. Can you help me? I do not see this info in the myuncchart.
