A well-stocked first aid kit is a handy thing to have. First aid kits come in many shapes and sizes. You can purchase one from the Red Cross Store or your local American Red Cross chapter.

The new school year is almost here, and those first-day smiles make for amazing photos! But before you share, here’s a reminder from our School Resource Officers: share the smiles, not the details.

Avoid including your child’s:
✅ School name or logo
✅ Grade or age
✅ Teacher’s name
✅ Other identifying details

Why? Scammers and predators can use that info to target families.

Let’s work together to keep kids safe AND celebrate this exciting time!

The 2nd Annual Chardon Health and Wellness Sampler Event on Sunday was a resounding success! 60 outstanding vendors were there to educate, empower, and make our community a healthier place.

I was honored to be there teaching hands only CPR/AED use to anyone and everyone that wanted to learn! I taught 60+ people! I had 10 minutes where I was able to address everyone present. Thank you to those who volunteered to help me with my demonstration.

Other safety education topics I covered (if someone didn’t want to learn CPR or already knew it): alternative epinephrine dosing devices and Naloxone.

Who needs to learn CPR/AED use? Everyone!

Thank you SALTY Salt Cave and Chardon Integrated Wellness Center and all of the volunteers for a truly inspiring event. I can’t wait for next year!

Come on out to what is sure to be one of the best events on Chardon Square this Sunday from 10am until 2pm! 15 minute presentations from vendors (including us at 10:15), awesome swag bags loaded with goodies from vendors, and all the health and wellness you can get in one day! Be there and be on the Square!

Wow, what a fantastic evening at National Night Out! Dozens of children and adults learned hands-only CPR at our booth. Thank you to all who participated in this event! You make our community GREAT! And thank you most of all to our local heros, the first responders that make our community safer every day.
