Check out this video from Thais Gibson, a clinician and author who specializes in attachment theory. In the video, she refers to people she identifies as "dismissive or fearful avoidants," meaning those who tend to avoid connecting with others due to fear of rejection. I don't think you have to be labeled with any particular attachment style to glean some helpful perspectives:
