Here are 2 upcoming local auditions. This is a great way to start learning the audition process and if booked start an acting reel. Email for more info if interested.
The not so classic tale of Sleeping Beauty!
This pantomime adds two quarreling suitor princes, a rhyming not so fairy godmother, as well as the usual collection of witches, brave princes and sleepy kings and queens.
Cast List:
Auditions: February 7th & 8th from 1-3 PM
Auditions are open to ages 6-17.
REHEARSALS:
•Meet your cast mates and 1st read through: Sunday February 15th, 2pm-6pm
•Rehearsals will be Sunday through Tuesday. Check-in & Warm-ups at 5:15.
Rehearsal from 5:30-7pm.
•Additional rehearsals will be added the week prior to opening.
•If needed, additional dance rehearsals may be called at 4pm on Sundays.
•A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the first read through
Actors are encouraged to have a prepared comedic monologue - 1 minute or less. You may choose one of the monologues below or provide your own. Actors are encouraged, but not required, to prepare a 30 second or less, A Capella song (no accompaniment). Actors may also be asked to read in groups.
Don't feed the plants!
One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name. A down-and-out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon “Audrey II” grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination!
*This show contains some mature thematic material and adult language. It is suitable for most audiences.
