Last week, I had the opportunity to introduce some of the students from Burke High School to sound therapy.

They were so curious and open to the experience and really just surrendered to it, which was something that I did not anticipate! They truly enjoyed it and came out of it relaxed and elated, wanting more.

For me, this is what the practice is all about. Giving the deepest love and service to those who truly need it the most within our community. So often, today’s children are put under stressors that no grown adult should even undertake and this becomes a part and parcel of the way that they respond to their environment.
A kid should be able to have fun, be free, and relax, but too often that’s not an affordable luxury in today’s society.

Teaching kids how to become aware of stress in their bodies, to regulate their nervous system, and giving them tools to use when they are feeling under pressure is the mindful approach that could radically shape our future generations and their impact on a better society.

As stewards for unity, we need to look for these opportunities within all levels of society, that all people despite age, race, background, and gender have access to the modalities that benefit the health of the mind body connection.

And it is this that gives me so much.

A big thank you to for the opportunity. I truly can’t wait to return to Burke and continue learn from these incredible kids. They are life’s greatest teachers 💕

The first element to Niyama is Shaucha (sh-ow-sha).

Shaucha indicates the need for self purification and cleanliness. This is not only related to hygiene, but further related to one’s physical environment and mental environment.

We can use Shaucha by maintaining purity in the food that we eat, the environment in which we habitate, and our thoughts and actions, which all directly influence the state of our mind.

Cultivating Shaucha allows us to recognize thoughts, habits, and actions that no longer serve us, in order to become beings of purity for deeper practice and understanding of Self.

NIYAMA.

The second limb of the 8 limbs of Yoga otherwise known as Ashtang Yoga.

Niyama is the counterpart to Yama, which we have discussed is related to how we relate to our external world.

Niyama, however, is related to our inner observances to help us maintain correct morality within ourselves for guidance of deep seeded truth.

Like Yama, Niyama is made of 5 principals:

Soucha ::: Cleanliness
Santosha ::: Contentment
Tapas ::: Discipline and Zeal
Svadhyaya ::: Self-study
Isvara Pranidhana ::: surrender to a higher power

First, I just want to recognize what an incredible opportunity it has been to connect with my community in Myrtle Beach through the power of sound!

It has been an honor to share space with you all and to grow in healing together. I have learned an insurmountable abundance of wisdom from the beautiful souls here.

Thank you for welcoming me, supporting me, and pushing me to grow in a direction I was so fervently fighting for. Special thanks to all tagged in the photo for your continued support, I know there are so many more of you!

Second, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work amongst the brilliants of medicine and oncology within the Myrtle Beach community.

It has allowed me to see the path that lies ahead for the future symphony of medicine and the power of sound healing.

I feel as if the two halves of my deepest Self are becoming whole for the first time and I will continue to strive for revolution and integration in the world of western health care. My heart is on fire.

It’s been such a privilege learning and growing with you, my dearest Myrtle Beach! I won’t be far away in Charleston, and I look forward to new connections! 🤍

“When properly mobilized, sound can specifically entrain the human organism toward the greater harmony and homeostasis that it requires to remain vibrant and to regenerate after injury or illness.

The properties of sound medicine -entrainment, harmony and homeostasis- represent the rational AND spiritual foundation for a new movement in the healing arts and sciences”

- Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, MD

My teacher once told me, “In order to heal, we must first question our condition.”

This phrase is engrained in my brain.

It’s bravery in itself to be able to ask the question, “How am I?” “What am I feeling?” “Where do I want to be?”

To arrive at this place of self awareness is a constant uphill battle that never truly ends in this earthly body. However, healing is about how we walk through that battle; the resilience and confidence to stand true in the Self are byproducts of our suffering.

We must experience our selves fully, we must fall and and continue to rise with perseverance that soon becomes grace, and experience the knowing that we we will continue to be bigger than we were before.

When we are self-aware, healing is happening within every moment, as we move closer and closer to the light of truth.

I’m just here as a vessel, using the power of sound as a tool to guide you closer to your own self realization, helping you dig deeper into what makes up the truth of you.

A beautiful morning .

An excellent class to begin the day, followed by deep vibrational relaxation.

This Shala truly feels like home, where love and the desire for discipline pours out of each practice and students share space like family.

I’m so grateful for this space, so grateful for Inna and her guidance and so grateful for a rejuvenation of my own asana practice!

Did you know that vibrational planetary sound therapy has the most transformational effect when done 3-4 times within a moon cycle?

This is because the pressures in our body change. The cells in our body begin to regenerate and replenish.
And each month we are given an opportunity to begin anew and reflect.

Sound therapy allows us use this energy to the fullest extent, aligning our own internal frequencies to that of the planets, opening us to experience ourselves as universal beings.

To spread the love, and make sure my beautiful friends have plenty of experience before I personally shift into a new location, I’m offering 20% off all sound sessions, and I’ve widened my availability.

Brahamacarya

The fifth and final Yama.

Brahma meaning “the creator”, Carya meaning “the right conduct”

Experiencing Brahmacarya means that the mind is constantly involved in devotion. To see all things as an expression of Brahma; the work that we do, the people that we meet, the nature around us, and all the happenings of life. We are attached to Brahma in all that we do.

Brahmacarya is to experience His, the Supreme Entity’s, presence and authority in each and every physical and psychic objectivity. This occurs when the human mind resonates with Cosmic will.

When we begin to train our mind in this way, our mind becomes parallel to that of of the Supreme and our psychic vibrations become more subtle, setting us up for ultimate libration from this life.

This Yama is often the most misinterpreted, as most think that it is related to the idea of celibacy or the preservation of semen. However, by engaging in this physical restraint, is it ultimately impossible to adhere to the principal of Brahmacarya, as it will promote damage to the glandular and lymph systems, promote fear complexes, shame, and guilt, which are all degenerative to the mind.

I think where this wrongly promoted idea comes from, is the idea of discipline and control.
It is true that one has to exercise control in every sphere of life, whether big or small. Such control does not imply killing the desire but controlling it.

By implementing Divinity in every aspect of life, we are able to exhibit more control over our human tendencies, and fall in line to what is necessary for becoming spiritual beings.

4 years ago the full moon rose over the dome in that Himalayan home of mine.

This night was the night that I witnessed my own courage and confidence to take what I had learned about vibrational healing, and make it truly an expression of my deepest Self.

I began to pour Divine love and creativity into this gift, so that it would plant the seeds of healing in those who were willing to receive it, and in turn, healing myself.

And years later, across oceans, I am still loved and supported by those who share similar visions, who aid in the planting of seeds, and allow the space to grow in this beautiful practice.

I am so grateful for every soul that this path has lead me to meet, and I am so grateful for every unfolding opportunity to grow deeper in unity and love through the healing power of sound.
