Not because you lack the knowledge about what alcohol does to you. But because you don’t know how practically and sequentially resource your nervous system and craving brain.

When I quit drinking ten years ago I knew a lot about nutrition, neurotransmitters and hormone cycle awareness. But I have discovered so much more about the body and brain after a decade of Sober AF living.

This past year I think I’ve learned more than the previous nine years combined. I’ve been studying chronic stress, circadian biology, oral + microbiome health, the power of breath, healing the root of dysregulation and trauma patterns, the brain (neurodegenerative disease) genomics (turning on and turning off our epigenetics), and the ancient Sabbath tradition of sitting in stillness (anti-hustle) which is deeply connected our parasympathetic rest state.

Gray area drinkers choose to stop drinking before they ‘have’ to stop drinking.

I’m so glad I chose to quit drinking when I did.

I’m even more grateful that *I never questioned that decision once I made it. I haven’t had a drop, sip or drink of alcohol in a decade.
