Sheila grew up enjoying drawing and won a “most artistic” award in her graduating high school class. She went on to pursue an education in nursing, became absorbed raising a family, and continues to maintain a full time career in the healthcare industry. After a nearly 13 year hiatus from doing any artwork at all, Sheila was fortunate enough to be introduced to Susan Shaw in 2012. For this reason,
her focus has been primarily watercolor. She has also attended workshops with Frances Topping, Natalie Pfanstiehl, Bob Noreika, Ralph Acosta, Cindy Baron, and Lorraine Bromley. Sheila is a Juried Artist Member at Wickford Art Association, a Juried Artist Member at South County Art Association, an Artist Member at The Attleboro Art Museum, an Artist Member at Rhode Island Watercolor Society and at New England Watercolor Society. She paints with several plein air painting groups and has participated in several exhibits at Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI, Courthouse Center for the Arts, and Gilbert Stuart Museum and Bell Gallery in addition to the member exhibits.
