UnitedYogi Lexi We’re all recovering from something. That is why I am passionate about a safe space for our community

In my yoga classes you will be met by a supportive community and offered the tools designed to meet you where you are, while supporting you as you find and strive for where you want to be. You can expect the physical aspect of the classes (asana/poses) to be both active and relaxing. Depending on the class that you attend, I offer both a moving meditation (vinyasa) and a restful sleep-like class d

esigned to calm the nervous system (yin). While the physical practice is a part of yoga, it is not all of it. That is why our classes always prioritize mediation, breath, and a connection to community.

Thank you all so much for the excitement and feedback—I’m thrilled to officially offer TWO new weekly yoga classes starting next week, right here in Olin:

🔥 Power Yoga – Saturdays at 10AM
First class: Saturday, July 12
A strong, energizing class to build strength, stamina, and clarity—before your weekend even begins. We’ll move with purpose, breathe deep, and leave feeling accomplished. All levels welcome, but expect to work.

🌙 Restorative Yoga – Wednesdays at 8PM
First class: Wednesday, July 16
This one is pure rest. Think supported shapes, calming breathwork, and stillness that helps your whole system soften. You’ll feel grounded, quiet, and deeply held. All props are provided—just show up and receive. There are only 10 spots for this one, so don’t wait.

Introducing: Letters from the Mat

A new series of honest reflections from my practice: moments of stillness, connection, and insight beyond the poses. These letters are meant to share yoga’s true depth in a way that feels real and accessible.

My hope is to create a space where you can feel seen, inspired, and invited to explore yoga in a way that feels authentic and accessible, without watering down its profound roots.

If you resonate with these reflections and want to dive deeper, comment 🙌
I’ll be expanding these letters into longer-form blog posts where we can explore these themes together more fully.

Welcome to Letters from the Mat: a journey inward, one letter at a time.

Letters from the Mat, Volume 1: Alone, Yet Not Really

Today I won’t be teaching a class. I’ll be alone on my mat.

That feeling of being alone can sometimes feel heavy, or even lonely. But through yoga, I’ve come to understand that alone doesn’t mean isolated.

Yoga teaches me that in the stillness, I am connected:
to myself,
to the breath,
to the earth beneath me,
and to all of you reading this.

We are all part of a shared experience, linked by presence and intention.

So even in solitude, yoga reminds me I’m never truly alone. It is a practice of connection that invites us all back to ourselves and ultimately, to one another.

I didn’t always know how to come back to myself.
I didn’t know what to do when anxiety arrived.

No one taught me how to meet my own body in the midst of a spiral.
I only knew how to push through, to hide it, or to panic about the panic.

Yoga changed that.

Not because I became more “zen,”
but because I learned how to listen.

Now, when I feel my palms sweat, my chest tighten,
when my breath disappears and my whole body trembles—
I notice.

And that noticing?
That’s the start of everything.

Yoga gave me permission I didn’t know I needed:
To pause.
To soften.
To come back to myself.

Not to fix anything.
Just to be with what’s here.
With grace, with love, and sometimes with trembling hands.

This is yoga, as I know it.

What If Yoga Isn’t What You Think It Is?

What if yoga isn’t about touching your toes, or even moving at all?

What if it’s about learning to breathe through the tight moments in life, the ones no one sees?

I’ve used yoga to process grief, regulate my nervous system, and feel like I belong in my own body again. But no one told me that’s what yoga could be.

All I ever saw were handstands and perfect bodies. I didn’t see the late nights where someone sat alone on their mat, just trying to breathe through the overwhelm. I didn’t see the part where yoga held them when nothing else could.

I want to change that.

I want to share the side of yoga that meets you where you are—even if you’re burned out, overwhelmed, or not sure if this practice is “for you.”

Because that version of yoga? The one that doesn’t care what you look like, or whether you can sit cross-legged?
That’s the version that changed my life.

And that’s the version I teach.

Today I’m holding space for every expression of motherhood.

To the moms holding babies, holding space, holding grief, holding it all together.
To the ones still waiting, still hoping, still healing.
To the ones who raised children, raised communities, or raised themselves.
To those missing their moms, and those learning to mother themselves with gentleness.

You are love in motion. You are deeply seen.
Today is for you.

And to my own mom—
Thank you for showing up so fully.
For seeing me, really seeing me.
For witnessing what I do and why I do it,
and offering empathy even when your own cup was empty.
Your words have landed in my heart and stayed.

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷
May today reflect the love you so freely give.
