Everyone’s abilities are not the same. We are all facing different battles and have different barriers and support systems. ✨No one✨ has superhero energy 24/7 to do all the things perfectly, unless they have crippling anxiety, and that’s a whole other issue, and I promise you that sooner rather than later, they’ll struggle too. So tonight, today, whenever you’re reading this, I want you to give yourself praise for the things you did do. Those are wins. The things you didn’t do aren’t necessarily losses. You can’t always look at things that way. Did you eat a healthy meal? Win. Empty the dishwasher? Win. Load it back up? Win. Shower? Win. Take your medicine today? Win. Take your trash out? Win. Throw away a pile of papers that are no longer relevant? Win. Make it somewhere on time? Win. … Count your wins. You’re doing better than you think you are. You’re doing better than you have before. You’re doing your best with what you’ve got and that’s progress. Celebrate your wins. And add more wins as you go. You’ll see a shift, I promise!

This applies to so so many circumstances. Some people always have an excuse for why they do what they do, instead of doing what will get them what they say they actually want. Mmm! That someone is me too, don’t you worry. I’m not finger-pointing over here. Just a non-judgmental reminder for us all for the next time when we provide an excuse for our not-changing behavior, whatever that may be. The question is - is what you’re doing getting you where you want to be? There will always be a “reason” why we can’t, but we need to evaluate what it is we really want and work on getting there, without excuse.

Switching gears. New book, same author, . Hoping this is helpful to not only myself, but you reading, and of course my precious clients who struggle with life not looking exactly how they thought it would. I’ll be sharing tidbits along the way that may be helpful to think about as you go through whatever season it is you’re in. Feel free to follow and share. One thing I’ve learned lately is there’s so many that struggle in silence, and you just never know who you may be helping by simply sharing what’s relatable and/or on your heart. The last time I read this book was in 2018/2019. 4 years ago. It seems like a lifetime ago. It was a lifetime ago. I’m reading it now with fresh eyes, new wounds, and a heart eager to share because we are in it together. It’s okay for everything to not be okay. That’s why I do what I do, professionally counsel others who are walking through disappointment in hopes to help them heal. I don’t always have the answers, but it’s not my job to have the answers, and my clients know that. But if I can bring them closer to peace in whatever season they’re in, I consider that a good day’s work.

I am so happy to be able to accommodate work, school, and/or life schedules in my private practice. I know how hard it is to juggle your’s and others’ schedules while still needing to make sure you take care of yourself and get the help you need. However, my afternoons and evenings in the office are now regularly full. (🙌🏼🙌🏼) With that being said, I’ve opened up some Monday appointment times for those of you who can no longer get in on Tuesdays or Thursdays and to accommodate my new clients. I will work with everyone as best I can, while being a working mother myself, for as long as my schedule allows because I know how hard and important it is to take the extra effort to care for yourself. Thank you to all my clients who trust me with their healing journeys and a thank you to everyone who has referred clients to me. I wouldn’t have this “problem” if it weren’t for you so I just want to express my sincere gratitude.
