Boundaries aren’t always a no. Sometimes they’re a yes — a yes that shows people how to have access to you in a healthy way.

If it’s meant to make someone suffer, it’s not a boundary.
It’s punishment.

So if you’re unsure, ask yourself:

Is this choice helping me feel safer, calmer, and more grounded…or am I hoping they feel the pain I felt?

We didn’t know how these blended family cards would be received… and you showed OUT.

So grateful for every family that saw themselves in our work.

I truly enjoyed the time spent at the Charlotte meet & greet for therapists of color.

The event was filled with care, connection, collaboration, food, and prizes. It was refreshing to be in a space with other therapists of color who understand the work and the weight that comes with it.

Thank you to Kina Scott and Lisa Adams for hosting such a meaningful event that reminded us of the power of community and connection.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to facilitate a corporate wellness workshop with an amazing team at SphereCommerce, LLC, focusing on The Power of Boundaries: Protecting Your Time, Energy, and Mental Health through my private practice.

We often think of boundaries as walls, but in truth, they’re bridges to healthier communication, improved productivity, and sustainable well-being.

It was inspiring to see professionals engage in real conversations about balance, self-awareness, and showing up fully without burning out.

Grateful to partner with organizations like SphereCommerce who prioritize both people and performance.

Year 2. Still just as honored.

This past weekend, I had the chance to lead mental health workshops for the second year in a row at the All Girls Matter EmpowHERment Conference in South Carolina at Columbia College.

Every time I’m in this space, I’m reminded why this work matters. These girls were honest, curious, vulnerable, and showed up in ways that gave me another push. We talked about real things—things they carry but don’t always have space to unpack.

Grateful to Tragil Wade-Johnson for this movement through America’s Big Sister, and to Markeisha Grant for continuing to pour into these girls across South Carolina with so much heart and consistency.

I don’t take it lightly that I get to be part of something like this.

Anxiety doesn’t always knock—it barges in.

Try this:
- Take slow, deep breaths
- Look around and name 3 things you see
- Place your hand on your heart and say, “I’m okay.”

You don’t have to handle it alone.

Too often, we push through exhaustion, stress, and burnout, forgetting that rest and self-care are not luxuries—they’re necessities. Filling your cup means prioritizing what helps you recharge, whether it’s setting boundaries, moving your body, or simply slowing down.

What’s one way you fill your cup when life feels overwhelming?
