Behind the Letters: Childbirth Educator

What does it mean when your doula is also a certified childbirth educator across multiple leading organizations?

It means I don't just support you during labor. I prepare you with the most comprehensive, evidence-based education available.

My educator credentials include:

• LCCE (Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator) - Teaching physiological birth principles, pain management techniques, and partner support strategies
• Spinning Babies® Parent Educator - Helping you understand fetal positioning and body balance for easier, safer births
• Certified Peer Educator (Black Child and Family Institute) - Community-based health education grounded in cultural understanding and shared experience

This training means I teach you and your partner how to work WITH your body, not against it. You'll understand:

CD(DONA) means Certified Birth Doula through DONA International. But that's just the beginning of my story.

I am a FULL SPECTRUM DOULA because I've pursued specialized training across multiple industry-leading organizations to support you through EVERY stage of your journey:

✨ CD(DONA) - Certified Birth Doula (DONA International)
✨ Postpartum Doula (DONA International)
✨ VBAC Doula (VBAC Link) - Specialized support for vaginal birth after cesarean
✨ Fertility Doula - From family planning to conception support
✨ Bereavement Support - Compassionate care through pregnancy and infant loss (trained as lay counselor and Community Health Worker)

Each of these certifications represents rigorous, specialized training in evidence-based care, emotional support, physiological processes, and trauma-informed practice.
