Ever notice how sometimes you react to a situation?
Like someone says something, and suddenly you're anxious, shut down, or super angry?

That’s probably a younger part of you—your inner child—trying to protect you the way they had to back then.

The truth is: we all carry those younger parts with us. The ones who felt left out, misunderstood, too much, or not enough. And they don’t go away just because we grow up. They just wait… hoping someone will finally see them, love them, and let them feel safe.
Here’s the good news:

That someone can be YOU.

You can reparent those younger parts with compassion.
You can give them the love they didn’t get.
You can listen to their fears instead of pushing them away.
Because the more we care for that inner child, the less we get triggered.
The more peace we feel.
And the more freedom we have to live life as our whole, empowered selves.
You don’t have to be hard on yourself. You just have to start loving the parts that still hurt.

Nurturing my own inner child has been one of the most beautiful, healing journeys I’ve ever been on.

For so long, I didn’t even realize how much she needed me—needed to feel safe, seen, and loved.

Now, I meet her with compassion. I remind her she’s enough. I let her rest. I even sing her love songs sometimes (yes, out loud—and it feels amazing!).

And you know what? I’m loving myself more and more every day.
I’m finding more joy. More peace. More freedom to just be.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, triggered, or like something’s missing, maybe your inner child is gently asking for your attention too.

You can start by just saying: ā€œHey little one, I’m here. I’ve got you.ā€
She’s been waiting for your love all along.

"Is Your Emotional Closet Overflowing? It’s Time to Clear the Clutter!"

Have you ever walked into a cluttered room and felt totally out of whack? Or opened a closet, only to have stuff come tumbling down, making an even bigger mess—and still, you can’t find what you were looking for? So, instead of sorting through it, you shove it all back in, out of sight… for now.

Our emotions work the same way.

Anger, resentment, shame, guilt—when we push them down and avoid them, they don’t disappear. They pile up. They create chaos beneath the surface. And when life shakes us even just a little, they spill out unexpectedly and often not in a pretty way.
But here’s the truth: The only way to create space, clarity, and peace is to go through the mess.
When you take the time to clear out the emotional clutter, your true self can finally come through—bringing clarity, calm, confidence, courage, connection, compassion, and creativity.
So instead of shoving those feelings back down, what if you opened the door and met them with curiosity? What if you sorted through them, let go of what no longer serves you, and made space for something better?

Your true self is waiting beneath the mess. Are you ready to clear the way?

Beauty in Unexpected Places

As I sit in the hospital waiting room while my mom undergoes a procedure, I had planned to pass the time working on a few things. But God had a different plan.

A woman around my age walked in with her mom, and what started as small talk turned into a refreshing conversation — two daughters sharing stories and supporting each other in this season of life. Before they left, we exchanged names with the intention of praying for one another. I never expected to receive prayers from a stranger today.

Minutes later, an elderly gentleman sat down beside me, answering his phone on speaker. As he reassured his wife, they began reminiscing about a trip to Houston for medical treatment — but what stood out was how they turned a difficult situation into something beautiful. His wife said, "Wasn't that great how we made a vacation out of a bad situation?" I immediately wrote those words down, inspired by their perspective.

When he hung up, we struck up a conversation. He shared stories of serving in the Vietnam War, the challenges he faces now because of it, and how he wouldn't change a thing — because those experiences shaped his life. He was called back for his procedure but insisted on finishing his story before he went, filling the room with wisdom and warmth.

I walked into this waiting room expecting a long, draining day. Instead, I was reminded that even in the moments we'd rather avoid, there are always beautiful souls and unexpected blessings waiting to cross our path — if we only open our hearts to see them.

Sometimes the most meaningful connections happen when we simply pause and let life unfold.

Is this you?

As a little girl, I was always the smallest—on my teams, in my classes. I even developed the motto ā€œTiny but Toughā€ and wore it like a badge of honor. For my 9th birthday, all I wanted was a t-shirt with those very words printed across the front. I got it—and I lived by it.

Being tough became my identity. I prided myself on how strong I was—how I could push through anything without breaking. And the truth is, being tough served me well. It helped me navigate hard seasons and protected me when I didn't feel safe to express what was really happening inside.

But tough is only one part of the story.

Deep down, I longed to feel safe enough to cry, to let my guard down. Yet anytime I felt the tears rise, shame would flood in, whispering that showing emotion meant I was weak or something was wrong with me.

After years of suppressing my emotions, the floodgates opened when life handed me one of my hardest seasons. Tiny but Tough got me through... but it was the tears that cleansed my soul.

I heard a phrase that changed everything:
ā€œPeople admire you for your strength, but they love you for your vulnerability.ā€

That’s when I realized — true strength isn't just in holding it all together... it's in letting yourself feel, express, and release. Being tough serves a purpose, but it’s not the only way to move through life. Vulnerability isn't weakness—it's bravery. And you are worthy and lovable just as you are—whether you're holding it together or falling apart.

To anyone out there trying to be tough all the time — it's okay to cry, it's okay to feel, and you are still so loved.

If you're ready to release what you've been holding in and reconnect with your truest self, I'm here to walk with you.

No Matter What You Do…

Someone will paint you as the villain. Someone else will see you as the hero. Same action, different perspectives.

From the words of Mel Robbins, ā€œLET THEMā€

You can’t control how others perceive you. What you can control is how you respond. Do you get defensive? Shrink yourself? Over-explain? Or do you take a breath, go inward, and hold onto your true self?

The real work is in learning and growth. What is this moment teaching you? Maybe it’s about emotional regulation, self-trust, or releasing the need for validation. Maybe it’s about standing firm in who you are, even when others don’t see you clearly.

Let them have their opinions. You have you. And that’s enough. ā¤ļø

Today, I wear my villain crown. šŸ‘‘

Despite showing up in kindness, gratitude, and as my true self, someone still sees me as the villain. And that’s okay.
Today, I choose to release the emotion behind it. I see it as an opportunity—an invitation to deeper healing, to let go of what is not mine to carry. I show myself grace. I go inward to my true knowing. I let go of the desire to defend myself—yikes, this one’s going to take some extra releasing! šŸ˜…

I am reminded that no matter how kind or well-intentioned we are, someone else may still be triggered by it, and that doesn’t make us bad. And at the end of the day, I have to let them. Let them misunderstand me. Let them create their own story. Let them judge from their lens.

And I? I hold onto me.

Be you.

You never know when the way you show up touches the lives of those around you.

Who knew that words on walls could create magic? ✨ As I work on bringing my vision to life, I’ve learned that writing affirmations and intentions on the walls of my new workspace is already doing something incredible. Not only is it healing me, but it’s healing those who are working to make my dream home a reality!

What do you do when the stranger on the other end of the phone says, "Your melanoma margins are clear, and you will not need further treatment." Well after you break into tears of joy and gratitude you dance like no one is watching.

The sermon from Derwin Gray this weekend was absolutely amazing! He speaks my language. šŸ™ŒšŸ’™

The message, "Past Hurts," hit deep—if we don’t heal our wounds, we end up passing them onto others. That truth is so powerful.

I’m beyond grateful for my own healing journey and even more grateful to now guide others on theirs. Healing isn’t just for us—it transforms how we show up in the world, in our relationships, and in our purpose.

Thank you, Derwin, for preaching on the importance of healing and how deeply it affects our lives! šŸ™āœØ
