I love Bible study night! I encourage leaders to pray these prayers over their community. Bible study is best in person I understand virtual if you live in a secluded area but Hebrews reminds us we must gather together and not be like those who choose not to.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Singles devotional still in the works to release this winter?? I hope so! 2025 taught me a lot about endurance and waiting. That joy is possible while you contend for your desires. That the Lord is working without you having to ask. That the Lord does call you and encourage you to be on mission even unmarried and childless. You still matter to Him. I know the waiting has tempted you to believe He’s forgotten about you. But look up and around, there is plenty of to be thankful for!

Your closest friends and partners should be equally yoked. If the world can obviously TikTok about the idea that your closest 3 friends impact your life then we as believers must accept the obvious. The Bible said it before the world did.
Paul takes time in 2 Corinthians 6 to address this to a church who struggled with favoring elitism, riches, and gifts before fruits. Paul takes time to quote scriptures of the old in this letter to remind them how God in the Old Testament instructed them on living equally yoked. We often in the church only discuss this about marriage. But Paul uses the word “partnership” on purpose. Corinth city was full of very powerful Greco Roman leaders. They were rebelling against wise and humble teachings. I pray we don’t make the same mistake.
This message is not about running from being on mission to the lost world. It is instruction on receiving life from God, He rewards us and protects us when we listen to the wisdom the spirit instructs. Do you have some boundaries to set and/or some friendships to depart from?

I get it… grief is heavy. And most of the time we cannot control when it wants to visit our door step. During some of my roughest heart breaks, Mama OB would call me and remind me to “simplify my life”. I hope this advice encourages you to stay present and to meet Him at His feet. Father God,
I pray for the brokenhearted and discouraged. In a time of emotional distress remind your children that in your presence our cups are filled! You are the source of revelation and wisdom! You are the counselor! When triggers arise and words cut deep, Holy Spirit I ask you light a fire in your daughters (and sons) to open your word. Only there, away from the noise of the world, can we clearly see your redemptive plan. Illuminate your words to the desperate. Open the eyes of the blinded. Hold up the bent over. We praise you for your perfect plan from beginning to end. We praise you for everlasting life. We praise you Holy Spirit for the fruits that you grace us.
We praise you!

I’ve always struggled with understanding joy. So today I dived into scripture to help you and I have a better understanding to what joy is and how it becomes a fruit. Enduring sad feelings or grief does not mean you are incapable of having joy. Get your mind off your feelings and focus on what you know to be true…. And rejoice!
