This is super common. I see this a lot with women but also with people who are on their feet all day, not keeping the core stabilized. A few tips...
π Tuck your tailbone downward during lifting movements
π When in doubt, try to connect your ribs to your front hip bones. This will fire up your transverse abdomen
πStrengthen Glutes. We are made of rubber bands (muscles). Strength in glutes will balance your anterior tilt and pull the low back downward
πWork mobility... itβs more than stretching and makes your joints more pliable. Stretching is for the muscles while mobility is for the joints

You wonβt always be motivated, but you must be disciplined π..
Today I was in a funk, and Iβm sure everyone else has been there. It was hard to be productive or focus on any one thing. I kept finding excuses not to go to the gym and I finally ended up in the grassy space. Being a traveling trainer, I always have equipment with me π
This quiet, green setting was just what I needed and though I didnβt get the endorphin kick I would have liked, I followed through anyway. Motivation isnβt always enough to take you to the finish line. Some days you just need to go through the motions and be proud knowing you did that π€π€..

My name is Courtney and I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, I have been trained in anatomy, physiology, and basic nutrition. I recognize that no two bodies are alike and will work with you to reach your goals at a sustainable pace.
Youβre probably thinking right now, well how is Courtney different from any other trainer? I wouldnβt sit here and tell you my certifications and expertise are better than everyone elseβs, however I will sit here and share with you the many ups and downs that I have been through that have helped shape the trainer I am today... A long time ago I was a smoker from a very young age and did so for about 9 years. My future husband was an athlete, and would not date me if I continued to be a smoker, because he lost his father to lung cancer and wouldnβt want to go through that with someone he could spend forever with. Through choice, and through fitness I was able to quit smoking. Shortly after I quit smoking, I was diagnosed with PCOS, and told I would never have children. I HAD to find a way to get myself into shape and balance out my hormones not just to prove to myself that I could do it, but to be an inspiration for many women out there. Here we are today and I have THREE healthy toddlers that are true gifts from above. So iβve quit smoking, iβve found a way to manage my PCOS, iβm sitting here with twin babies... now what?
I remember the day that I told my family I was going to become an IFBB Pro, and was going to compete in the bikini division. And, well... they ALL laughed at me. I worked incredibly hard not just for myself, not because they laughed at me and didnβt think that it was possible or wanted to prove anyone wrong. I wanted to be an inspiration for other women whoβve ever been told they couldnβt, they wouldnβt or it was just impossible. Wherever you are in your fitness journey, or thinking about getting into fitness... guess what YOU CAN DO THIS!
My advice would be to find not just any personal trainer (nor does it have to be me), but find one that truly cares about you, one that you can develop a great relationship with you and will go that extra mile to make sure that youβre not just training properly, but youβre understand what youβre working on and why.
βBefore becoming a trainer, I worked in the nutrition industry for 4 years studying natural supplements and educating others to help them healthfully achieve their goals . I love helping others and I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to do so in a field I am so incredibly passionate about.
Along from CPT, I am also a Strong by Zumba Instructor, Bootcamp Coach, National Physique Athlete, self-trained Triathlete, kettlebell specialist, and corrective exercise enthusiast.
