Meet Wendi, Tia, and Laura, three outstanding clinicians with Abound Health’s Specialized Consultative Services in NC. 🌟

Wendi, a Dietitian and Educator, brings 25+ years of experience and a passion for holistic nutrition and using food as medicine to support individuals with I/DD.

Tia, a Registered Nurse and advocate, draws on her rehab, community health, and I/DD background to help people live their healthiest, most independent lives.

Laura, an RDN, LDN, and CDCES, uses her advanced diabetes and lifestyle medicine training to meet clients where they are and help them thrive.

Art by Blake Henkel Blake is an artist with autism who creates and sells vibrant, meaningful art. You can support Blake by purchasing his artwork and sharing his creative vision with others.

Bear Food is a North Carolina-based specialty snack company started by an Abound Health client with disabilities. The business not only offers gourmet peanuts and snacks but also represents the entrepreneurial spirit and independence of people supported by Abound Health. Each purchase helps grow inclusive opportunities and supports a local entrepreneur’s journey.

Sunflower Club - Mint Hill welcomes Abound Health clients to develop supported employment skills in a real-world setting. Every visit helps create opportunities for meaningful work and growth.

Our clients and staff in the Raleigh area had quite the adventure exploring Dix Park in search of trolls! 🌳

The Trolls sculptures at the park made for a magical day filled with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of new memories. We love seeing our teams out in the community enjoying new experiences together!

Katie, an Occupational Therapist, brings broad experience from early intervention to geriatrics and is passionate about supporting individuals with I/DD at home.
Jessie, a Physical Therapist, uses her diverse background with children and adults to help families feel confident and comfortable through home-based care.

A Small Miracle is a North Carolina Statewide agency that provides a comprehensive array of supports and services to children and adults of all ages, with all types of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our offices are located in Goldsboro (corporate), Raleigh, Greenville, Charlotte, Waynesville, Mooresville and Greensboro. We have three Adult Day Programs, located in Raleigh, Charlotte, Waynesville, Mooresville, and Greensboro . ASM specializes in Alternative Family Living Homes, Specialized Consultative Services, Speech, ABA, Natural Supports Education and Supported Living. We provide the full array of NC Innovations Waiver Services, Medicaid B3 Services, Medicaid State Funded Services, Private Pay and Insurance Options and are proud to be a pilot site for the new TBI Waiver in Raleigh.

ASM has a new initiative not offered by other agencies - The ASM Advocacy Team! The ASM Advocacy Team offers support, education and advocacy to individuals supported by ASM along with their families and natural supports by offering: Quarterly Family/Individual Advisory Meetings. Stakeholder’s Socials & Presentations on a variety of topics important to the the people we support and the community at large. Making/receiving phone calls and email contacts on a ongoing basis with those we support. The Advocacy Team has a “Speak Up!” Program that encourages families and/or staff to share their feedback with us! We want to know how we are doing, both the good things, and the things that we can improve upon.
