If you’re seeking a long-term solution to manage your allergies, allergy shots could be the answer you’re looking for. 💉 Through a series of carefully administered injections, small amounts of the allergen are introduced into your body, helping your immune system build up a tolerance over time. If you’re interested in immunotherapy as a treatment option to your allergies, we recommend that you schedule an appointment with one of our specialists to see if this could be a good fit for you.

Take control of your allergies with allergy shots and experience long-term relief and an improved quality of life.

Right now, you're probably dealing with the tail end of winter colds and flu, plus indoor allergens like dust mites and pet dander that have been building up all season. Your heating system has been circulating these allergens nonstop for months.

But in just 2-4 weeks, the game changes completely. Tree pollen will start ramping up, early grass pollen will emerge, and outdoor mold spores will be floating around everywhere. For a lot of people, this transition period is the most confusing time of year.

If you're tired of guessing and want to know exactly what's triggering your symptoms, we can help figure it out.

Most people wait until they're already miserable to do something about their allergies. This timeline shows exactly what's coming and when, so you can prepare.

Starting meds before tree pollen peaks in April, knowing to check mold counts in July and August, understanding why you feel terrible every September...it all makes a difference.

Charlotte doesn't have an "off season" for allergies, but knowing what to expect each month means you can stay ahead of symptoms instead of constantly reacting. We're here for you if you have any concerns or symptoms!

If you or your child is experiencing rapid or shallow breathing, shortness of breath, coughing spells (especially in the morning or at night), a whistling sound when taking a breath, chest tightness, or feeling constantly tired, it could be asthma.

Some people manage asthma fine with minimal medication, while others can have severe attacks that are dangerous. That's why getting diagnosed early matters.

If these symptoms sound familiar, or if you have a family history of allergies or asthma, it's worth getting checked out. Learn more at carolinaasthma.com/asthma/

This past weekend, some of our physicians attended the gala in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This event raises funds in support of working towards a cure for cystic fibrosis and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives. We’re honored to help sponsor this foundation and proud of Dr. Chadha and Dr. Collins for working together to raise over $32,500 for the cause.
