Two of my clients today had heart implant devices (one a pacemaker, one a defibrillator). It was fascinating to work on them back to back. Obviously they didn’t want me to use a lot of pressure near their left collarbone/heart area, one asked to avoid the left shoulder as well.
But guess what, we all live in flexion, most people’s pecs are tight and to feel relief in their upper backs and necks we do need to work the pecs.
But the work had to change for these two who have medical devices embedded in them. You can’t dig into the tissues and pin and stretch them. Luckily I’ve been taking some cool classes lately that are very gentle, calm down the nervous system and still release the tissues.
My migraine/defib client’s shoulder wasn’t moving, after couple positional release holds his shoulder let go and his neck softened as well.
He left excited and feeling way better. .lewis.fullcircle
