ient art and science of yoga. KIDS YOGA classes teaches yoga to children ages 7 and up in a fun and safe environment through fun games and activities. Kids Yoga classes encourage a sense of playfulness. Play allows children to develop socially, cognitively and emotionally. Play not only increases motor skills, it also improves social skills and promotes creativity and encourages imagination. Practicing yoga builds a strong foundation for children to grow on, to become strong, calm and responsible individuals. Yoga poses strengthen and stretch the body, build coordination and increases overall health and fitness level of kids. Yoga also improves focus and concentration, thereby leading to improved academic performance. TEEN YOGA- Teens face a lot challenges in middle and high school. Keeping in mind these challenges, in teen yoga classes the emphasis is on strengthening the body, improving posture, stress management, body awareness and emotion regulation. Teens go through stress in school and an early introduction to stress management with yoga, breathing and meditation is very beneficial for teens. ADULT YOGA classes are relaxing and rejuvenating and appropriate for all levels of flexibility. Classes include gentle posture, breathing exercises and meditation, to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Poses are modified according to ability. Personalized attention is given to each individual. Level 1 classes are deep stretch and slow paced. Level 2 classes are faster paced and are appropriate for people with prior experience. Level 1 classes are deep stretch and involve slow mindful movements, and rest after each pose. This allows the body to experience a state of deep relaxation, which enables the mind to calm down. This style of yoga is based on the Kevalyadhama style (www.kdham.com) of yoga, which is one of the oldest Yoga Institute in the world and accredited by Council of Yoga Accreditation International. It aims to bring together traditional yoga with modern science through scientific research. Classes are open to all levels of yoga practitioners who seek to explore the mental benefits of yoga. MINDFULNESS MEDITATIONS : Mindfulness Meditation is all about being aware of , and open to what is happening in the here and now, whether pleasant or unpleasant. This takes time and practice, but the benefits are profound. The beauty of mindfulness lies in its simplicity. A simple yet powerful practice, mindfulness take us to a place where we can choose to respond with wisdom in difficult situations versus react. Mindfulness Meditation for teens: Just like any other skill, the skill of stress management and management negative emotions can be learned better when introduced at an early age. Teens undergo a lot of stress, and the self awareness that mindfulness teaches empowers them to skillfully navigate their inner world and make right choices.
