KIDS YOGA classes teaches yoga to children ages 7 and up in a fun and safe environment through fun games and activities.Classes are a blend of asanas(poses), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.Classes encourage a sense of playfulness.Play allows children to develop socially,cognitively and emotionally.Play not only increases motor skills,it also improves social skills and promotes creativity and encourages imagination. Practicing yoga builds a strong foundation for children to grow on,to become strong,calm and responsible individuals. Yoga poses strengthen and stretch the body,build coordination and increases overall health and fitness level of kids.Yoga also improves focus and concentration,thereby leading to improved academic performance.
ADULT YOGA classes are relaxing and rejuvenating and appropriate for all levels of flexibility.Classes include gentle posture,breathing exercises and meditation,to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Poses are modified according to ability. Personalized attention is given to each individual. Level 1 classes are deep stretch and slow paced. Level 2 classes are faster paced and are appropriate for people with prior experience.
MINDFUL YOGA FOR STRESS RELIEF classes are deep stretch and involve slow mindful movements, and rest after each pose. This allows the body to experience a state of deep relaxation, which enables the mind to calm down. This style of yoga is based on the Kevalyadhama style (www.kdham.com) of yoga,which is one of the oldest Yoga Institute in the world and accredited by Council of Yoga Accreditation International. It aims to bring together traditional yoga with modern science through scientific research. Classes are open to all levels of yoga practitioners who seek to explore the mental benefits of yoga.
