The Neighborhood Doula

The Neighborhood Doula Elisa is a birth doula that services the Greater Charlotte area.

I'm a trained birth doula and midwifery student who found myself immersed in the world of birth culture during my first pregnancy in 2012. Then we welcomed our son in 2014 and both births were such a positive experience - I want that for all moms! I don't believe in the rather common “It’s just one day, you can get through it” attitude – every woman I've met has strong feelings around their birth experience and the memories last a lifetime. I feel that education and support are absolutely the best thing parents need during their transition into parenthood, no matter how they choose to birth.
