Most families are frustrated with the care they receive in our broken health care system. In my practice, we help families implement changes for a better way of life. My approach helps children and families achieve a better quality of life with less missed school days, less doctor visits, and less medications. Through a personalized approach, my mission is to elevate the health of the entire family, one individual at a time. I am a pediatrician specializing in children’s wellness, mother of 3, and practice what I preach. My mission is to change kids and families lives through clinical work and education.

What multivitamin should my child take?

Here is my honest answer. None of them.

I have a very strong stance on this. There is not a single multivitamin on the market that I feel better about than real food.

A smoothie made with whole foods is your child’s best multivitamin.

Food is how the body absorbs nutrients best.
Food is how we truly fix deficiencies.
Food is information for your child’s cells.

When we rely on synthetic vitamins, we miss the magic that whole foods bring. The cofactors. The enzymes. The synergy. That is where real healing happens.

And before you say, my kid would never drink that… I hear you.

There is absolutely a system to getting kids to drink a nutrient packed smoothie. I have used it in my own home, and it works. I will share that in part two.

Start with food first. Always. Follow for part two where I break down exactly how to get even the pickiest eater on board. 👍

If you have snacks in your pantry right now… this is your sign to flip them over and read the label.

Because what looks “kid friendly” on the front often hides ingredients that can stress your child’s gut, brain, and immune system.

👎 Artificial dyes that are linked to hyperactivity
👎 Vegetable oils that drive inflammation
👎 Corn syrup and sugar that weaken immune function
👎 Flavor enhancers that keep kids craving more
👎 Preservatives and additives we still do not fully understand because they’re not fully disclosed.

And no, this is not about food fear. It is about food awareness.

Start with one simple swap.

Small swaps add up. Less inflammation. Better focus. Stronger immunity. Fewer meltdowns.

Follow for better food swaps and holistic health tips for raising healthier kiddos.

One dose of Tylenol does not ruin your child’s health.

The body is smart and resilient. It knows how to detox and rebalance. Our job is simply to support it.

When acetaminophen lowers glutathione, it places a little extra demand on the liver. That does not mean panic. It means nourish and replenish.

Think in layers.
1️⃣ Layer one is real food. Protein gives the body the building blocks it needs. Colorful fruits and veggies provide antioxidants that help recycle and restore glutathione.

2️⃣ Layer two is rest and hydration. Water helps the body flush what it does not need. Sleep is when repair really happens.

3️⃣ Layer three is strategic support. In some cases, nutrients like vitamin C, NAC, or quercetin can help replenish antioxidant stores.

The goal is not to avoid every medication forever. The goal is to raise kids with strong foundations so their bodies can handle life.

Most moms think immune support starts with supplements

But your child’s first line of defense is their nose.

If your child mouth breathes — especially at night — their immune system is working overtime.
