Added sugar can quietly weaken your child’s immune system.

Here is how it happens in kid friendly terms: Too much added sugar feeds the wrong gut bugs. Those gut bugs crowd out the good ones. And your child’s immune system lives mostly in the gut.

So when sugar is high, immune defense goes low
That can look like more colds, slower recovery, more inflammation.

This is not about never having treats. It is about what we keep on repeat in the pantry and fridge.

This is exactly what I teach in my Healthy Kids In An Unhealthy World Book

Simple swaps. No food fear. Real life guidance you can actually stick with.

Mamas, this is your reminder that supporting your body doesn’t have to be complicated 🤍

Infrared sauna is one of my favorite tools for:
✨ immune support
✨ skin health (eczema + aging skin)
✨ stress relief & nervous system reset
✨ gentle detox — without extreme heat

But how you use it matters — especially if you’re busy, sensitive, or supporting your kids too.

I put together a FREE downloadable Sauna Guide that breaks down:
✔️ Infrared vs traditional sauna
✔️ How often to use it
✔️ How to use it safely for mamas & kids
✔️ Skin, immune & energy benefits
✔️ FAQs I get asked all the time

💬 Comment “SAUNA INFO” and I’ll send you the free guide so you can use your sauna with confidence ✨

Looking for gentle, holistic ways to support your child through RSV? Start here.

Nutrition
Dairy can thicken mucus in some kids. If symptoms are heavy, consider limiting or removing dairy for a short time. Breastfeeding parents, this includes you too.

Salt support
Use a saline nasal spray twice daily to help thin mucus. If you have access to a salt room, sessions 2 to 3 times per week for about 45 minutes can be helpful.

Suction
Not fun, but very effective. Gently suctioning the nose can make breathing easier and help your child rest better.

Hydration
Skip Pedialyte and Kinderlyte. They contain ingredients I prefer to avoid. Better options include coconut water, diluted juice with a pinch of salt, chamomile tea, bone broth, and breast milk.

Nebulizing
Nebulized glutathione can support the lungs and immune system. I go deeper into this inside my Babies and Kids Guides.

Extra support
Epsom salt baths are a gentle way to boost magnesium. You can also consider zinc, a quality probiotic, and vitamin D from my supplement store.

Big news just dropped on the U.S. childhood vaccine schedule that every parent should see.

As of January 5, 2026 the CDC officially updated its recommendations after reviewing global immunization practices and evidence. Rather than one long list of shots for all kids, vaccines are now grouped into three categories:
• Those recommended for all children
• Those recommended for high-risk children
• Those given with shared clinical decision-making with your child’s provider

What’s changed?
• The number of diseases for which vaccines are universally recommended has been reduced: now 11 instead of the previous 17-plus.
• Vaccines like flu, COVID-19, rotavirus, hepatitis A and B, RSV and meningococcal shots are no longer automatically recommended for every child but may still be appropriate depending on your child’s health and situation.
• Insurance continues to cover all vaccines previously recommended, even if they’re now optional or risk-based.
• States still set their own school-entry requirements — federal guidance doesn’t instantly change those laws.

This is a big shift from how pediatric immunizations have been discussed for decades — more nuance, more choice, and a greater role for parent-provider conversations.

I hear this one a lot. And I get it. Many of us did grow up eating these foods.

But here’s the part most people miss… The foods didn’t stay the same.

Many everyday foods have quietly changed.
More dyes. More preservatives. Different oils. More ultra processing.

So when we compare then vs now, we’re not actually comparing the same product.

It’s about realizing that our kids’ bodies are growing up in a very different food environment than we did. And small changes can make a real difference over time.

You don’t need to throw everything out.
You don’t need to be extreme.
Awareness is the first step.

Save this for later and share it with a parent who hears this comment all the time.

📘 That’s why I created a FREE Red Light Therapy Guide that breaks down:
• Where to place it
• How long to use it
• Protocols for different concerns
• Age-specific guidance (babies, kids, teens, adults)

Candy season, pie season, cookie season… aka “what happened to my immune system?” 🍪

Mamas, I get it. Between the endless Halloween candy, Thanksgiving pies, and Christmas cookies, we’re all running on fumes and sugar.

Meanwhile our kids are living their best life on Doritos, Takis, and the latest YouTuber drink… and their immune systems are quietly whispering, help.

The foundation of protection against all the seasonal stuff floating around is a strong, well-supported immune system. 💪

And even when we’re too tired to read every label or cook every meal from scratch, we can still prioritize the things that matter most:
✨ nutrients
✨ quality vitamins
✨ sleep
✨ fresh air & movement

Because when it comes to our kids’ health, their immune system deserves real support, especially this time of year. 💚

Let’s keep our kiddos healthy this season.
Drop your go-to immune tips below ⬇️ and tag a mom who needs this reminder.

Let’s spread the love… not the germs. 💪💚

❌self cleaning of the oven.

What Happens During Self-Clean
👉Oven heats to 800–1,000°F
👉Food residue, grease, and coatings pyrolyze (thermally decompose)
👉This creates gases + ultrafine particles, not just “steam”

👶 Why This Matters for Kids & Sensitive Humans

Self-clean fumes are especially problematic for:
- Infants & children
- Asthma / reactive airway disease
- Eczema, MCAS, chemical sensitivity
- Pregnancy
- Pets (cats & birds especially)

Many parents report:
👉Night coughing
👉Headaches
👉Skin flares
👉Pet illness

Just because it’s allowed doesn’t mean it’s harmless.

Smoking doesn’t take you out in one day. Neither do artificial food dyes. But small hits add up and your child’s body keeps score.

Save this and share with a parent who needs to hear it.
