Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation

Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation was created in 1994 to support one of our community's most valued assets, Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation is a non-profit organization that exclusively supports the strategic plan of Atrium Health Cabarrus through fundraising initiatives. Through an organized program, 39 board members and hundreds of volunteers work diligently seeking financial gifts from families, friends, and businesses. These gifts are used to support capital campaigns, build medical center endowments, improve patient care, provide the newest medical technology, upgrade existing facilities and provide educational opportunities for our community and staff. More than $24 million has been returned to Atrium Health Cabarrus to support projects such as the purchase of critical care beds, the Infant and Pediatric Security System, the Stealth Surgical System, the building of Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, Jeff Gordon Children's Center, Breast Health Center at Atrium Health Cabarrus and the Tucker Hospice House Expansion Campaign. 100% of the gifts given to Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation go towards the donor-directed cause and all gifts are tax deductible. We are very excited to have Susanna Black joining our runway as co-host for a second year. From breaking news stories in the field to anchoring major newscasts, Susanna Black has built a career on her passion for storytelling. An award-winning reporter and anchor, she spent years covering North Carolina, most recently at WSOC in Charlotte. After a transition into corporate communications at Duke Energy, Susanna launched her own consulting firm, Susanna Black Media, where she helps business owners and nonprofits craft and share compelling narratives that leave a lasting impression. Born and raised in Concord, Susanna is proud to live in and give back to the community that shaped her. She serves on the boards of the Concord Police Foundation, the Cabarrus Arts Council, and the Bishop’s Advisory Council for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. A frequent emcee and keynote speaker, Susanna loves engaging audiences through her passion for storytelling and human connection. Susanna Black A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Susanna is married to her high school sweetheart, Travis, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Lyla (6) and Sophia (2). Outside of work, you’ll likely find her enjoying time with her family, cooking, gardening, reading, or out on a run.

Meet Hade Robinson, Jr., a celebrated figure returning as co-host for his 10th season of Foundation Fashion Night. Known as the “Carolina Style Guy,” Hade is a personal stylist, TV personality, and retail director based in Charlotte, NC, with 20 years at Nordstrom. He currently directs retail stores at Charlotte Douglas International Airport while working on his fashion line, “Hade.”

A frequent contributor to WCNC’s Charlotte Today and stylist for the Big 10 Network and FOX Sports, Hade has lectured at the Mint Museum of Art and hosted various fashion events. He has contributed to multiple magazines and was recognized by the Charlotte Observer and Uptown Magazine.

Previously involved with the Miss America Organization, Hade is a judge for both Miss America and Miss USA. He has also been honored in the hospitality industry and served on the Winthrop University Alumni Association's board. An alumnus of Winthrop University, Hade is now an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of South Carolina and a 2021 Fashion Icon nominee. This October we are calling on our community to pull out their PINK once again and help us support Breast Health Awareness Month through our WEAR PINK CAMPGAIN! We are seeking companies, organizations and civic groups to join us as we raise money in October for breast cancer awareness. Last week, we hosted our 14th Fellowship Program Class at Atrium Health Cabarrus and sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners. We enjoyed showcasing a behind the scenes tour while showing the great work done by our teammates in a variety of departments. During the fellowship program, our guests were able to meet Leaders, Nurses and Physicians throughout the day in several areas of the hospital including Cardiac Services, Surgical Services, the Emergency Department, Sterile Processing and many more. The class enjoyed learning more about our hospital with our very own Facility Executive, Asha Rodriguez, during breakfast. We now have over 100 graduates who have completed our Fellowship Program since its inception in 2017.
