Some walks aren’t just about steps, they’re about surrender. 💛

I’ve spent months in pain, feeling stuck, and wondering if I’d ever move forward again. And yet, with each step, I’m saying yes: to healing, to trust, to God’s timing, and to the life I’ve been promised.

Every small step is a victory. Every tear is testimony. And every moment of obedience, even when it hurts, is powerful. ✨

If you’ve been waiting for permission to move forward, even slowly, this blog will encourage your heart to start walking again 👉 https://open.substack.com/pub/sharhondaford/p/guess-what?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Sis, read that again and breathe. 💭 What looks like “laziness” or “flakiness” on the outside is often just the weight of fear, old wounds, and unhealed stories we’re still carrying.

You’re not broken, you’re battling. And the fact that you’re still showing up, even imperfectly, is proof of your strength. 💪🏾✨

If this hit a little too close to home, I promise you’re not alone. This week’s blog unpacks it all 👉 https://sharhondaford.substack.com/p/breaking-up-with-self-sabotage

Sis, fear will always have something to say. It’ll tell you you’re not ready, you’re not enough, or you’ll mess it all up.

But faith? Faith reminds you that if God placed the vision in your hands, He’s already given you the grace to carry it. 🙌🏾

This week, I’m learning how to stop bowing to sabotage and start speaking life out loud. Not because I have it all together, but because I refuse to let fear have the final word. ✨

If you’ve been shrinking back from the very thing you prayed for, this blog is for you 👉 https://sharhondaford.substack.com/p/breaking-up-with-self-sabotage

Sis, I’ve been there: talking myself out of good things because deep down I was scared they wouldn’t last. 💔

Afraid to trust love, to believe I was ready, or to step into the life God was calling me to.

These affirmations? They’re not just words on a screen. They’re a lifeline when your own thoughts try to pull you under. Some days they feel true, other days I whisper them through tears. But I keep saying them because I refuse to keep standing in my own way. 💪

If you’ve ever caught yourself blocking your own blessings too, you’ll want to read this week’s blog. It’s honest, it’s raw, and it might just be the reminder you need 👉 https://substack.com/home/post/p-171072618

Sometimes it’s not the enemy, the ex, or your past getting in the way.

Sometimes…it’s us.

Self-sabotage doesn’t always look like laziness or bad choices. Sometimes it’s fear wrapped in perfectionism. Or shame dressed up as “I’ll start tomorrow.” It’s that quiet voice that convinces you to stay small, stay stuck, or end something good before it even begins.

But here’s the truth: self-sabotage is learned and that means it can be unlearned. 🙌

If you’ve ever caught yourself procrastinating, downplaying your worth, or saying “yes” when your heart screamed “no,” this one’s for you.

Isn’t it funny how we spend so much of adulthood trying to figure ourselves out, only to realize we’re just making our way back to who we were as kids?

If you could bring back one thing you loved or believed in as a kid, what would it be?

Saying “yes” when you’re already stretched thin…
Staying up late to finish someone else’s work…
Pushing through even when your body and mind are begging for rest…

Sound familiar?

That’s how we end up running on empty and wondering why we’re so worn out. Knowing your limits and actually honoring them isn’t selfish, it’s smart. You can’t really show up for anyone if you’re falling apart.

Take care of you first, you need you more. ❤️

What’s one boundary you’re learning to protect right now?

“What if I missed my chance?”
“What if I’m behind?”
“What if this isn’t it?”
“What if I waited too long?”
“What if I’m not enough?”

Those thoughts come in fast, loud, and out of nowhere. They make your heart race and your peace slip. Suddenly, you're spiraling into a future that doesn’t exist yet, doubting a present that actually does.

But here’s the truth:

You don’t have to chase a “when” to prove your worth. You don’t need to have it all figured out to matter right now.

God is not waiting on a future version of you to start working in and through you. He’s not surprised by where you are. He’s not withholding anything from you until you “get it together.”

Sometimes, peace begins when we stop running ahead in our minds and learn to sit with what’s already here:

🟢 The progress we’ve made
🟢 The lessons we’re learning
🟢 The breath in our lungs
🟢 The grace that’s meeting us daily

💭 Ask yourself: What can I thank God for today, even if it feels small, slow, or unseen?
👇 Let’s shift from panic to peace together. Drop one thing you’re thankful for in this season.

Sis, let me be very honest: I don’t always have it all together. I stumble, second-guess, and sometimes I’m just plain tired.

But even on those days, especially on those days, I make a choice.

📌 Faithful. Even when it’s hard to trust the process.
📌 Available. Even when I’d rather shut the world out.
📌 Teachable. Even when my pride wants to say, “I know better.”

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, again and again, in the mess and the beauty of it all.

Who else is choosing to stay FAT today? 💛

Some days, the pain is loud. The questions feel bigger than the answers. And the path? Still unclear.

But even in that, I’m choosing to stay FAT: Faithful. Available. Teachable.

Not because it’s easy. But because I know God is still working… even here. This isn’t punishment. It’s process. And my posture? It’s praise.

✨ ""I am rooted in God’s plan, even when I don’t understand the path. I am learning, I am healing, and I am whole—one surrendered step at a time."" ✨

Sis, if today feels heavy, I wrote something for you. 👇🏽

Do you ever find yourself in a season like:

👉 Your body’s not cooperating
👉 Your prayers feel on read
👉 You’re still showing up… but barely?

Same.

I’ve been trying to hit unsubscribe from this whole “God’s Strongest Soldier” assignment, but apparently, Heaven didn’t get the memo.

This isn’t about having it all together. It’s about holding on: ice packs, tears, grief, and faith included.

This blog is for the ones who feel out of place, out of energy, and out of options… but are still here.

You ever look up and realize… you’re still standing?

Not because it’s been easy. Not because your strength never ran out. But because something deeper, someone greater, kept carrying you through.

This kind of thriving doesn’t look pretty. It’s not polished or filtered. It’s not about hustle or highlight reels.

It’s the kind that holds onto hope anyway.

Even when your body aches.
Even when the healing is slow.
Even when you’re too tired to explain how tired you really are.

This post isn’t about pretending it’s all fine. It’s about knowing you’re not alone when it’s not.
