💚🐾 Mental Health Matters Ambassadors at Zoomey Toomey Run Club at CMPD Animal Shelter this morning to help exercise the pups!

💚 Dogs help support our mental health as many animals do and these pups awaiting their furever home also need support: walking/running them helps them release pent up energy, stress, and anxiety.

🐶 👟 🎉 Reminder Mental Health Matters 5k & Festival is dog friendly! Zoomey Toomey will be there with a tent as well with pup cups for all the pups! And some available dogs for adoption that day.

Anyone is welcome to volunteer and help out!

🎉 Year 3 and we are ready for it. Come out for a great race and post race festivities to create awareness & build community & support all while celebrating running and movement in the process.

👟 Running is a powerful yet simple act, that is just another tool that helps manage our mental and physical well being and we are stronger when we run together.

Show up, show out, enjoy your time with us while doing good ✨️

📢 & remember the show goes on...so keep moving forward. ➡️ That may mean a pause, a reset, a different pace than what you're used to...but however you move forward, know there are better things up ahead

Join MHM Race Ambassadors this Sunday Dec 7th to support Girls On the Run at their end of year celebratory 5k!!

We will be volunteering at the water stop and bringing some music to keep the girls motivated and having fun!
Come out with signs to support and cheer on the girls!

💚Mental Health Matters 5k & Festival is all about creating awareness, support, and uplifting the community, all while celebrating running and movement in the process.

👇🏼 Purpose behind the 5K and festival:
💚 We all have mental health and go through times that can challenge it, diagnosis or not.

💚 This race is a reminder everyone has their own "stuff" that their dealing with. You never know what someone is going through, be kind.

💚 We want to foster a community or support, the race serves as a reminder you're not alone, to not feel ashamed to speak up or reach out...because when you do, more often than not..others will say "me too".

💚 Empower the younger generation, know that we can all do hard things and also ask and accept help

💚 There is power in running, movement, and community

💚 Provide the opportunity to explore and talk with different groups and resources

💚 Create awareness, reduce stigma

💚 Celebrate how far you've come
