It’s not always easy to ask for help — especially when it comes to mental health. Finding the right counselor, getting an appointment, paying for care and added stigma can be overwhelming. And for people with jobs like firefighters, EMTs or police officers, that stigma can be debilitating.

Last May, we introduced our free and financially assisted psychotherapy program for CMS employees and we have been gratified that over 50 CMS folks have availed themselves of our services in less than a year.

Next week, we are honoring the first responders of CMPD for whom we also provide free and financially assisted psychotherapy.

Presby Psych is committed to giving back to first responders, healthcare workers, and CMS employees -- all those who work under often stressful conditions to make our community better.

Help us continue these outreach services by supporting our May 18th Embrace Mental Health Breakfast and hearing the story of one police officer whose mental health became something he had to address.
