🌟 Featured Speaker Spotlight: Kelly Teague, CPS 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Kelly Teague as a featured speaker at our upcoming In the Know: A Community Conversation About Substance Misuse event next week.

Kelly is the Vice President of Innovations for Community Impact NC, where she supports communities across western North Carolina in strengthening prevention and wellness efforts. With experience in education and coalition leadership, she has spent DECADES helping communities address substance misuse and support healthier families.

She is also a Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) and has extensive training in adolescent mental health and community prevention strategies.

Food for thought:
• What are the hidden risks facing youth and families in our community today?
• How can we work together to strengthen prevention and support healthier choices?

Join us for a day of learning, conversation, and connection as we work together to address substance misuse in our community!

Do you think that mental health and substance use goes hand in hand? 🤔

Come talk to us about it on March 10th.

We are SO excited to welcome Molly Richardson as a featured speaker at our In Your Know Event!

With more than 30 years of experience in behavioral health, Molly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). As Chief Operating Officer of The Blanchard Institute, she leads with both PURPOSE and COMPASSION.

Her talk, “No Wrong Door: Meeting the Needs of Individuals with Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders,” will dive into co-occurring disorders, barriers to care, and what ot REALLY looks like to meet people where they are.

Food for thought:

-Have you ever thought about how many people struggle with both mental health and substance use challenges at the same time?

-What would it mean if getting help truly felt like there was NO WRONG DOOR?

Join us on March 10th to hear Molly’s expertise and learn what we could ALL do to break stigmas and support others. 💙💚

💙 Let’s talk about it. 💛

Substance misuse touches SO many families in our community — and the more we understand it, the better we can support each other.

Join us for IN THE KNOW: A Community Conversation About Substance Misuse on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 2:45 PM at the Statesville Civic Center.

This is a FREE event (yes, lunch is included 🙌) where we’ll have real conversations about:

-Teens and prevention
-Mental health and substance use
-Trauma and PTSD
-Building resilience in our kids
-What’s really happening in our community

You don’t have to be an expert. You just have to CARE.

Parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, first responders, community leaders — this event is for YOU. The more we show up, the stronger our community becomes.
