One of the best ways to keep kids healthy is the simplest: wash hands often.

👉 20 seconds with soap and water = fewer colds, flu, and tummy bugs!

Make it a family activity. See what the CDC has to say below.

🍪🍭🍦 Happy National Dessert Day! 🎂🧁

We all love a sweet treat now and then — and that’s okay in moderation!
✔️ Add fruit for natural sweetness
✔️ Pair with milk or water instead of soda
✔️ Make dessert a “sometimes” treat, not an everyday one

Dr. Nair loves anything chocolate 🍫
Dr. Zuzo loves Tiramisu 🍰☕🍫

Now we want to hear from you — what’s your child’s favorite dessert? 😋👇

Today’s White House event on autism was filled with dangerous claims and misleading information that sends a confusing message to parents and expecting parents and does a disservice to autistic individuals.

We know autism is complex, highly variable and increasingly linked to genetics. Individualized plans, often involving a combination of developmental, behavioral, educational and social-relational strategies, can help improve outcomes that are meaningful to individuals and families. We also need and welcome additional investments in federally funded research to better support families of autistic children.

Families who have questions about their child’s medications, autism care plans or other health care should consult with their pediatrician or health care provider.

Babies’ bodies respond well to vaccines because their immune systems are in constant learning mode. A baby’s immune system is ready for the hepatitis B vaccine as soon as they are born, and giving newborns the first dose of the vaccine within 24 hours of birth (with additional doses at 1-2 months and 6-18 months) remains the best protection against serious health problems like liver disease and cancer.

🌿 Honoring Native American Day 🌿

Today, we celebrate Native American Day and honor the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Native American communities. 💛

At our pediatric office, we recognize the importance of cultural heritage in shaping healthy, happy children. Encouraging curiosity, respect, and learning about diverse traditions helps our kids grow into compassionate, knowledgeable individuals.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the stories, languages, and histories that make Native American communities so vibrant. 🏹📖

Our story

Caring for a child is one of the most important, and hardest, jobs you’ll have. We understand at Novant Health Pediatrics Berewick how many responsibilities parents are juggling, and we believe that getting your children the healthcare services they need should be easy.

Our team offers primary care through the important developmental years, from birth to age 21. From help with an illness to well-child checkups, childhood vaccines and flu shots, you can get the primary medical services your child needs under one roof. Regular visits for checkups help you get to know your child’s providers, and allow your child’s provider to learn about your family’s medical history.
