Downtown is home to a wide array of unique specialty retail including boutiques, vintage finds, sports equipment and accessories, spirits, furniture, art and home décor. There’s a family owned grocery, along with event centers, numerous eateries and American Legion Post 57. It also has a variety of service providers in the categories of auto, financial, insurance, legal, health and wellness, real estate, photography, printing, pet care, music, personal care and more. In general, these are small businesses locally or regionally owned or operated. In downtown Chaska you’ll also find many churches, schools and government services. Chaska is the seat of Carver County and downtown is the site of its government center on East Fourth Street. The post office, state license bureau, library, city hall and police department are located downtown. Downtown Chaska is the location of numerous popular events year round, from January’s ice fishing contest to December’s Hometown Holiday. In between you’ll find the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Taste of Chaska, Memorial Day Parade, two farmers markets all season long, SayHey5K, River City Days, and Homecoming Parade.

Your invited to the Olympic Send‑Off at Crooked Pint this Sunday, January 18, 2026 | 4:30–5:30 PM

Join the community as we send off Team Casper, the U.S. Men’s Olympic Curling Team, who train at the Chaska Curling Center. It’s a fun, meaningful chance to wish them good curling and good luck before they head to Italy for the 2026 Winter Games.

After the men’s and women’s teams film their Olympic uniform unveil, some athletes are expected to stick around to chat with fans.

Want to make a day of it? Stop by the Curling Center earlier to watch team practice from 1–3 PM.

Team Casper: Danny Casper (skip), Luc Violette (third), Ben Richardson (second), Aidan Oldenburg (lead), Rich Ruohonen (alternate).

This send‑off also kicks off a big year for the Curling Center, which will host the 2026 USA Curling Club National Championships in March.

Because Olympic dreams start close to home and Chaska always shows up for its champions.
