Felicia wants to empower everyone to save lives—from teachers, teammates, and babysitters to parents, friends, and children. As a little girl, I used to walk to the Girls Club (now Girls Inc.) when it was inside Boone Heights. That was a place where I could just be and enjoy my friends.
And now… I’m being honored by that same organization!

I was told more than once that my idea would never go anywhere.
Today, more than 80,000 CPRWrap kits have been sold, and lives have already been impacted because someone had the confidence to step in during an emergency.

During Women’s History Month, I’m proud to stand alongside so many incredible women who choose to innovate, lead, and create solutions that make a difference.

And for CPRWrap… we’re just getting started.

I never imagined that a girl from Chattanooga. TN would grow up to become one of the first Black female inventors to create a CPR product designed to help save lives.
Being honored by Girls Inc. of Chattanooga as the 2026 SOLE Award Recipient in STEM is a true full circle moment for me.
To the girls watching: your ideas matter. Your voice matters. And the world is waiting on what only you can create.

At a time when doors were closed to him, Garrett Morgan invented the traffic signal and a safety hood that saved lives during emergencies.

More than a century later, I stand holding my own invention, CPR Wrap , invented for the everyday people to increase survival in cardiac arrest.

Innovation is not new to us.
It is inherited.
From traffic signals to lifesaving CPRWraps, we have always created solutions in moments of crisis.
And we are still writing history.
