Okay, I had a whole other post planned for today… but this moment needed to be shared 🥹🤍
Picked the kids up and was heading to Target, so I called Tony to see if he needed anything. When I hung up, Trinity goes:
“Aw, y’all are so cute.”
I said, “Thank you baby, so are you.”
And she goes, “No… I don’t think you realize how much y’all’s love for each other radiates.”
Then she said something that absolutely got me how she loved seeing her daddy so excited for me to open my Christmas gifts. My journal, little things… like he was a giddy little kid himself.
As parents and spouses, we know we aren’t perfect. We have good days and hard ones. After almost 19 years of marriage this August, it’s taken work, love, patience, and choosing each other over and over again.
I’m always asking myself, are we setting the right example for our girls?
So to hear her say that… to see it through her eyes… oof. That one hit deep. I definitely cried a little 🥹
I’m not saying we’re perfect because no one is. We mess up, we learn, we grow. But I am proud of us. Proud of the love we’ve built, the effort we keep choosing, and the fact that we’re still willing to show up and do the work. As long as he’s willing to keep working with me, I’ll happily keep choosing us 🤍
I wanted to share this because I know Trinity is going to see it too. We love you so much, sweet girl 🤍
