Last birth of 2025 in the books ✨
(**knocks on wood** 🤪)
Attended my last birth of the year last night and my last prenatal with a family this morning and couldn’t help but to feel so grateful for the job at I get to do. Days and nights are long and the on call life isn’t always ideal, specially as a mom; but they become so worth it when I get support families in some of the most intimate and special times of their lives.
One of my big wishes when I arrived to VA was to work more with the military and Hispanic community and I am so happy that this year was my year to do just that.
I wish I was able to share every detail of all the powerful stories of all the families I have been fortunate to support this year through birth or postpartum support, placenta encapsulation, and birth photography.
Ultimately all of this is able to happen because of my amazing village. Being a military family has meant solo parenting most of this year and I’ve only gotten through it because of my mom who has helped raise my boys and supported me through it all (even when it wasn’t easy) and an unreal group of friends who I know God hand picked just for me. Friends who I could call on a random afternoon to help me with my kids so I could go to a birth and those being the same friends who will encourage me to take my time and allow me to take care of myself too. I love you all ♥️
