Not My Child is proud to offer two monthly Choose Hope Support Groups for loved ones of individuals struggling with substance use or in recovery.

These groups provide a free, confidential, and supportive space to connect, share, and find guidance from others who understand.

I had a blast with Chesapeake Women's Network Queen Anne's. We made flower arrangements to take home and helped raise money for scholarships. It was amazing meeting so many women making a difference in our community. Sun kissed Flower Farm did an amazing job teaching us how to make the arrangements, which was an awesome mindfulness activity that was super relaxing.

Our Project Restart program is offering a FREE in-person Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) Training this July in Chestertown—designed to help you build a career, support others, and step into your next chapter.

📅 July 13–17 & July 27–31 (hours are 9-5, must complete both weeks)
📍 Chestertown, MD (location TBD)

This training can open doors to employment, advocacy, and making a real impact in the recovery community.

Excited to be learning about more resources in our community! Last week, I enjoyed checking out Choose Hope, a support group by Not My Child. Choose Hope has groups for loved ones of people living with substance use and another for that have lost loved ones to substance use. This organization is amazing! They also have Project Restart to help people in recovery. Thank you to Not My Child for all they do for our community! They are also having 5th Annual Carmen's Charity Casino Gala on February 28th! The event raises money to help the community!
