As a clinician of over 30 years, selling my services does not come naturally; however, *serving DOES.
As a I have served without monetization for over 3 decades. Sure we receive a paycheck, but the patient is not paying us directly…
This new mindset of advertising to potential that pay me directly for my valuable services, is a new concept.
Many nurses have transferable skills, critical thinking abilities, and giving personalities. But we are *not natural self promoters.
The mindset switch that has to occur to run a legal Nurse consulting business, is huge. After being three years into it, there is still a fear of appearing “salesy” while at the same time knowing my and what I can do for clients.
So my #2026 is all about reading sales books, building , increasing my network, and really getting to know the people who are my ideal clients.
What are their needs for their and what causes their highest Pain points? (As a nurse, I am great at relieving Pain) 😉
What worries *outside of and what do they like to do in their spare time? (If any).
How can I make their lives easier?
I really do care about humans, and it just so happens that lawyers serve *other humans. The work I do extends to their clients. 🩺⚖️
This firm is about leveraging experience that can assist others. Lawyers have a skill set that I do not, (which I find interesting), and vice versa.
The first thing I’m doing is calming my nervous system by getting into nature no matter what the weather. Loud obnoxious situations, (aside from the rock music I listen to with my headphones at the gym), are not helping me. I need calm reflection as my springboard.
Comments are not only welcomed they are requested! I would like to have more attorneys as mentors and guides. I want to know how they choose one over the other, aside from some of them just being into it for more years than myself…
If you’ve read this far, thank you for your interest. I’m actually offering free case merit screens for medical malpractice cases throughout month of January. Sharon
