working really hard on shifting the narrative on many adepts of my life. and it’s not easy to just “change” it takes serious effort, trial and error, continuous reminders.

these small shifts are a way to catch yourself in the pattern, and respond with a rephrase.

when your thoughts get the worst of ya, give it a try.

you never really realize how much this journey would affect you. but, man it takes a lot - physically, mentally, emotionally. some days it’s easy to have hope, other times youre wondering why (and wanting to punch a hole in a wall).

After two miscarriages, i found myself confused, wanting to control everything. as someone who is type a and also struggles with lack of control, it’s hard to not want to do more, fix it, and just get it right.

But I’m slowly learning to lean in. that this isn’t something I can force. i can learn, i can gather knowledge, i can change, but i have no control over the outcome.

i’m currently focusing on supporting my body through this time. doing all of the things i am currently aware of - making appointments where i need to and listening to my body.

there is so much more i still have yet to do or uncover, but here we are. i hope this may help where you’re at.

you all know im not one for difficult meals, but if chef Jordan can make these, so can you.

smash tacos have been my jam lately because they’re easy, and delicious

INGREDIENTS:
- ground beef
- seasoning: salt & pepper go a long way, but onion/garlic powder and paprika add a punch
- cheese (we did what we had on hand)
- tortillas (siete are my go to, but tbh they’re not the best at holding up in smash tacos)
- toppings of your choice

HOW TO:
- combine meat and seasoning
- separate meat into 6-8 balls
- smash the meat on to tortillas
- sear meat down for 3-4 min
- flip over, add cheese and cover (about 3-4 min)
- add toppings
- ENJOY

so good! And so easy! we copy paste with diff toppings too!
