I can’t tell you how important it is to have a Postpartum Plan. To prepare for the longest Trimester of your life will help things run smoother. Will it get rid of Baby blues or fluctuating hormones no but it can help prepare you to recover, get sleep, take care of you so you can take care of baby. You come first cause if your cup isn’t full you won’t have enough to give anyone else.

You are creating a plan
1. Meal prepping ahead of time so you won’t have to worry about what you’re eating for the night.
2. Having your village be apart of your plan to come and help at certain times. Can give you some rest and help you to run errands. Grocery shopping, Doctors visits, wash baby clothes, buy a meal for the night and watch baby while you get some self care time or sleep.
3. Helps you to set Boundaries I don’t know how many times I’ve said this to my clients. But if they are not coming to help they can wait to see the baby. Postpartum is about healing and you all need a village to help you get through the days of sleep deprivation cause it’s real.
4. Accept the help do not take this time to try to be super parents. Have people you trust with baby come and help you. Mom and Dad you are not the postpartum plan. The village is they are there to help so let them.
5. Hire a Doula cause sometimes Mom, Dad and the village get sleep deprived or need some extra hands. That’s what we are here for. Make us apart of the plan so the first day you come home we are here there to help you make a smooth transition into parent hood.

You won’t be less than a parent if you get help. You will actually be a prepared and well slept parent who has risen to the challenge. You got this but you don’t have to do it alone. As parents we have to get out the mood of not asking for help cause it’s our children. Everyone needs help sometime and it takes a Village to raise a mother.

Start now while you are pregnant build village within yourself before baby gets here. Let people help you right now and be soft and watch them want to help you. Don’t take advantage of course but put down the cape sis it’s ok.

Sometimes it’s hard to get a review after moms give birth because they are sleep deprived and taking care of baby. We usually wait 6-12 weeks to ask but life be lifing.
