Five years ago, we opened our doors in Jefferson Park with one simple goal:
to provide thoughtful, personalized eye care for the families in our community.

What started as a small private practice has grown into a place where we care for patients at every stage of life—from first eye exams to complex medical eye care.

Over the past five years, we’ve expanded our services to include:
• Comprehensive eye exams
• Medical eye care
• Orthokeratology
• Myopia control for children

But what has never changed is our commitment to listening, educating, and treating every patient like family.

To our patients, families, and neighbors—thank you for trusting us with your vision and for allowing us to grow alongside you. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Welcome to Opt Vision Studio, Dr. Lana Schiferl!

Dr. Lana Schiferl was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. She received her degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Tulsa and played Division 1 soccer before obtaining her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Chicago College of Optometry in Downers Grove, IL.

During optometry school, Dr. Schiferl was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa international optometric honors society. During clinical rotations she received training in all aspects of optometry including primary care, glaucoma, vision therapy, and ocular disease. Post graduation she provided mobile comprehensive eye exams at different assisted living facilities to help make eye care more accessible. She also has several years of experience providing primary eye care in a corporate setting. After a few years of clinical experience, Dr. Schiferl has shown special interest in myopia control and dry eye.

When Dr. Schiferl is not seeing patients, she enjoys working out, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband Daniel and two dogs, Apollo and Halen.
