Eating with your family shouldn’t cause you to regain 25lbs+.

Years ago, when I was still dieting, I felt so overwhelmed around being with family and friends because there would be food around.

I was still operating with the mindset that specific foods would cause me to gain weight.

Of course, they’d always have those foods around.

So I had three options:

1) don’t go at all
2) go but refuse to eat anything
3) go but completely pig out because I was already eating a food I shouldn’t eat (the main reason for many Monday morning restarts)

Of course, I did all three — over and over again which is why I was stuck in the cycle of losing weight just to regain it.

Eventually, I realized I had another option:

Go, eat and enjoy myself without overdoing it.

It never occurred to me because most diets expect you to put your real life on pause just to lose weight.

Instead of simply teaching you how to deal with real life.

Once I learned how to eat for life, not only did I lose 88lbs but it’s been easier for me to sustain it.

If you’re done losing the same 25lbs+ over and over again, comment GUIDE and I’ll show you how.

One of the best things you can do if you want to stop losing the same 25lbs+ is take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

During one of my calls, a client asked what are my thoughts on condiments.

To that, I told her don't sweat the small stuff because most times we're paying attention to minute details but avoiding the bigger behavioral shifts that are leading to weight gain in the first place.

Like feeling bad and guilty for eating one cookie so you force yourself to eat another, then a bag of chips, then some ice cream and before you know it, you've completely fallen off the wagon.

Simply because the weight loss method never helped you remove the all-or-nothing mentality that leads to unintentional self-sabotage.

And if we're being honest, most people don't regain 25lbs+ from putting 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce on their chicken.

So before we start obsessing over "hidden calories" in a meal you may only eat once per week (if that), let's pay attention to bigger behavioral shifts that are showing up in your everyday decisions.

This is how we finally break the cycle of losing the same 25lbs+ without obsessing over food.

Your daily habits are more important than short-term weight loss calorie reduction hacks.

If you're done losing the same 25lbs+, comment GUIDE and I'll show you how we break the cycle.

Lack of discipline doesn't cause you to regain 25lbs+, not learning how to eat in the real world does.

In 2007, I signed up with a weight loss company that forced you to follow a low carb diet.

It even went as far as to remove fruit.

I lost 66lbs but...

That's where the success ends.

Once I reached my weight loss goal, I realized I didn't know how to eat like a normal human.

In the back of my mind, I would eat meals and fear they'd cause me to regain the weight because I was eating the "forbidden" foods.

But I didn't know how to eat to keep the weight off.

Eventually, I regained the weight... all 66lbs (plus a few more).

I spent over 10 years thinking it was because I was eating the food and telling myself I just needed more discipline.

So I kept vowing to get more strict. Cut more foods. Fast and try to eat as little as possible.

It was a cycle: lose weight, regain it.

It was exhausting.

And honestly, I was tired of not feeling in control of my body and fearing if even looking at the donut would cause me to regain the weight.

So I decided to do something different.

I ditched the typical weight loss advice -- my issue wasn't that I couldn't lose weight.

I didn't know how to keep it off.

So I focused on how I wanted to live my life after I reached my weight loss goal.

It made me focus on weight maintenance so I started with the end goal in mind:

Being able to keep the weight off.

I finally learned how to enjoy meals in moderation.

Which helped me finally stop feeling guilty about eating a donut, vowing to go harder, restarting on Monday and repeating the whole lose-regain cycle again every other month.

I've been able to sustain losing 88lbs for over 5 years now simply because I focused on being able to make sure I can keep eating the same way for the rest of my life.

Now I finally feel back in control of my body and no longer let food rule me.

I was losing weight just to regain it simply because I didn't know how to eat in the real world.

When I was at home, I was good.

But the minute I stepped out the house, it all went downhill.

I'd tried so many different diets:

- cutting carbs
- clean eating
- fasting
- counting calories
- and many other failed attempts

So when I was outside, I always wondered:

- "what should I do because I'm hungry but it's outside of my eating window?"
- "why do they want to eat here when I can't eat anything on the menu?"
- "how am I supposed to count calories and the restaurant doesn't even list them?"

And the deeper question:

"How can everyone else just eat and go on about their lives but I'm always stressed about food and STILL regaining the weight?"

Then it hit me.

If I wanted to truly lose the weight and keep it off, I needed to learn how to eat outside of the house.

I ditched all the fads and complicated rules.

And focused on one simple shift:

Learning how to listen to my body.

This helped me naturally stop overeating, feel in control around food and stop stressing over even single bite.

The end result:

I lost 88lbs and have sustained it for over 5 years.

For the first time in years, she finally felt in control around food again and was able to lose weight without relying on willpower.

I was recently on a coaching call with one of my clients and she said she'd been dieting for years.

She'd gone vegan, tried counting calories, and a host of other diets but it was always the same.

She'd lose about 25lbs, life got busy, she fell off and the weight returned.

This time around, she was tired of restricting herself and feeling like she couldn't eat meals with her family so she signed up to work with me.

Following my Everyday Slim Method, she learned how to include all her favorite foods while losing weight.

Immediately, she noticed she:

- naturally stopped overeating simply by listening to her body
- didn't have intense food cravings anymore
- could walk by a bag of chips if she didn't want them (without relying on willpower)
- was able to eat a brownie without eating the whole pan
- was able to attend family events without feeling guilty about the food she ate --- and no longer had to restart on Monday

The result:

This all led to her losing her first 10lbs in just 4 weeks without cutting carbs, fasting or obsessing over calories.

Many women spend over 5 years losing the same 25lbs+ over and over again simply because no one has ever taught them how to eat in a way they can sustain.

Breaking the cycle isn't about developing more willpower; it's about learning how to eat in a way that matches your real life -- not just for weight loss but for life.

If you're done losing the same 25lbs+, comment GUIDE and I'll send you my Everyday Slim Guide that breaks down how to break the cycle for good.

I avoided buying new clothes for years because the truth was I didn’t know how long I’d be able to fit them.

I had no problem with losing weight — my challenge was actually being able to keep it off.

Getting dressed took more energy than needed because I never truly felt comfortable in my clothes or body.

I had at least 5 different sizes of clothes in my closet covering the different phases I went through:

- clothes that fit before I lost weight
- clothes I bought when I reached my weight loss goal
- clothes I bought when I was in the middle of regaining the weight and was in this awkward stage where none of them fit right (these were my hiding clothes)

And honestly, I hated looking at all of them because they were a reminder that I’d figured out everything in life… but my body.

I got tired of getting depressed whenever I went into my closet.

Something had to change.

I looked at every diet I’d tried and finally realized something:

I wasn’t failing because I lacked discipline.

Every diet only focused on short-term results so I was regaining the weight by design.

I was ready to finally break the cycle so I focused on truly learning how to eat in the real world — outside of weight loss.

But a simple way I could eat for the rest of my life.

It started by simply planning my meals ahead of time so I made sure I was eating enough to keep me satisfied.

With that, not only did I lose 88lbs but I’ve kept it off for over 5 years.

If you’re done losing the same 25lbs+ and ready to love going back in your closet, comment GUIDE and I’ll show you how.

PS I actually look forward to shopping now because I know I’ll be able to fit them years later.
