🌟 Celebrating Our Journey: Disability at DePaul and AGIF Grant Conclusion 🌟

As we reach the end of an incredible chapter, we can't help but reflect on the amazing impact we've made together! Disability at DePaul has been an empowering force, promoting disability awareness, fostering inclusivity, and championing the rights of disabled learners. With the conclusion of the Academic Growth and Innovation Fund (AGIF) grant, we are filled with immense gratitude for the support and enthusiasm we've received from the DePaul community.

✨ AGIF has been instrumental in our journey, providing us with the means to create an inclusive environment on campus and advocate for disability rights. We are proud of the milestones we've achieved and the positive change we've brought about during this grant period.

🌈 Through awareness campaigns, workshops, and events, we've brought the community together, fostering a deeper understanding of diversity and embracing the unique abilities of every individual. Together, we've celebrated increased enrollment of students with disabilities, creating a more inclusive educational experience for all.

πŸ’™ We extend our deepest appreciation to the faculty, staff, students, and our incredible team members who have dedicated their time and passion to advance disability advocacy and inclusion at DePaul.

✨ Although Disability at DePaul will be closing, our commitment to disability advocacy remains unwavering. We encourage each and every one of you to continue championing disability awareness, staying connected with the broader disability community, and fostering inclusivity wherever you go.

πŸ’« DePaul University will continue to prioritize inclusive practices and support services, ensuring an accessible and equitable educational environment for all students. We are excited about the future and the new opportunities that lie ahead!

🌟 Together, we have made a difference, and with your continued support, we will continue to create a world where every person's abilities are celebrated and respected. Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Feeling stuck lately? Let's talk about languishing and how to find your flow πŸ’¬

Image description: The title slide reads "πŸ‘‹ Hey students, have you ever felt stuck lately? You might be experiencing "languishing." The following slide continues to read "Languishing is the feeling of not being able to fully engage with the world around us. It's not quite depression, but it's not quite flourishing either. It's a sense of stagnation and emptiness. On the third slide, "In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers found that finding flow was the factor of well-being."

"What are some ways to find our flow?"

Begin by blocking off dedicated time for focused work. Then, identify the best activity for that time. Look for an activity that has clear objectives and rules. It should require specific skills to complete. It should be challenging but achievable. You can choose almost any activity such as word games, memory exercises, photography, chess, tennis, art, and beyond.

The more you experience flow, the greater your overall life satisfaction. It increases happiness and a sense of purpose in your daily activities. Increasing the time spent in a state of "flow" - an absorbed state of meaningful challenge - can enhance overall life satisfaction.
