Right now Covid-19 is threatening the wellbeing of every artist/freelancer who exists.

Recently I put together a catalog of my works from 2015-2020. Now I am releasing the full catalog for sale! For the rest of March 25% of sales from the catalog go to benefit artists who are directly effected, and are in immediate need of relief. is actively working to provide resources for artists who are struggling to survive. CERF+'s emergency relief grants related to Covid-19 will focus on those infected with the virus that require intensive medical care (https://cerfplus.org/).

If you have ever wanted to collect my work, now is the time to have the most dramatic impact.

I’m still taking commissions separately from the catalogue benefit sale. Portraits of loved ones, pets, landscapes, still lifes, vacation photos, architectural pieces, and florals are all available. If you have an idea that you have never seen me do let’s talk about it! We can work within your budget, whatever that is.

The link to the full catalog is in my bio! Feel emboldened to ask any questions you have about the work, even if you’re simply curious how it’s being made!

Thank you for your support. Without you I would have never made it this far!

The third, and final, in a series of 36”x56” oil paintings of a collector’s extensive travels. This is the stunning view of the Punakha Valley in Bhutan.
Exceptionally beautiful, and clearly designed by a careful mind. I believe this to be a milestone in my painting career. An intentionally charged drawing laid beneath layers of atmosphere and ever-winding fields of color pushed me the farthest from my comfort zone in landscape painting. Far beyond it.

Recently completed 36”x56” oil painting, “Myopia”. For this the client and I drove heels into Edward Hopper. It was an immense pleasure to be afforded nearly total creative liberty again on this piece.
Included some words about this experience from the great mind of its new owner. Exactly how this experience is supposed to go. So very well put.

Sent out this landscape commission that began as a plein air study several years ago while visiting Newcastle Colorado. Couldn’t believe I found it when the client asked me to dig it out and finish! @ New Castle, Colorado

Recently completed this 70”x48” narrative floral interior painting. The creative freedom I was given on this commission was unbelievable.
We moved furniture from several rooms into the image in order to compose in such a way that the painting was an abstraction of the client’s own story.
It was such an incredible experience to work with the outstandingly decedent arrangement composed by
Certainly one of the most joyful paintings I have had the opportunity to craft.
Looking forward to many more lively and atmospheric works this year! @ Flat Iron Artists

Last meeting of Life Drawing Club in my studio for 2019. Feeling fortunate to have the opportunity to host for such a kind, thoughtful group of artists. Great work comes from quality practice.
Will be back in mid-January!
(Oil on plexiglass painting of and preparatory drawing for sale, as always)

10x10 inch still life study of a broken sugar bowl and dried flowers, with bees and a moth.
Lightening up my palette lately, in efforts to get my face out of a dark hole I have been staring into. It can have an intoxicating effect to focus solely on disturbed imagery, but more pronounced is the smudge on your perception of everyday hardships.
Daylight and lamplight dueling again for the focus!

Talking with during this portrait sitting for 3 hours, and drinking plenty of wine, was so wonderful tonight!
So fortunate to meet such powerful spirits on this journey to portray reverence for human life!

Trying a new system of measurement based on arcs that meet other points on the figure. Felt a sense of rhythm that was far more natural for my temperament than several I have been trying over the past few years.
Each artwork demands a new approach. Style is a major pitfall to be aware of in approaching subjects. If you’re not aware of its influence, your work may stop advancing after a point.
This has been a major challenge to overcome in my practice.
Never think you’re good enough just the way you are. That’s cowardice talking.

Fell so deep into this painting over the past few days. What an incredible opportunity to spend time contemplating the wonder of nature. Such tremendous determination to survive in distinctive shapes and bodies.
Still lives will be a heavy focus in coming months. I hope they can be enjoyed by others as much as I enjoy making them!

Offering these small portraits for a great price. Makes a good couples activity, or a gift for parents. Use it on your Tinder profile. No judgement.

Schedule a sitting in person at my studio ( #231), or send a few high quality photos for me to work from.
I won’t ask you to sit perfectly still. Conversations are what bring out the sitter’s personality in these portraits.
