Insight Echo is a mobile cardiovascular and general ultrasound imaging service in the Chicagoland area. Insight Echo offers HIPAA compliant storage of measurements, data and images to be viewed and interpreted from anywhere through our cloud-based application. We offer your patients ultrasound probes from full-sized imaging equipment in a mobile office setting with the latest in image quality results. We utilize technology that matches or surpasses the imaging technology provided by hospitals. All Insight Echo studies are digitally recorded for ease and accuracy. Our technicians aren’t merely certified, but have degrees in their respective imaging specialties and hold accreditations in national registries. All of our echocardiograms and ultrasounds are read by board certified specialists so you can trust your results have been read by experienced and qualified physicians who continue to staff hospitals and see patients on a daily basis. has held ICAEL accreditation and continues to uphold and improve upon ICAEL standards. is also a Medicare provider and as such must adhere to strict government mandated quality assurance protocols. Frequent use and wide availability of echocardiography (echo) have led to a belief that the test may be overused. Although echo is globally recognized as the most cost-effective, safe and portable tool for cardiac diagnosis, appropriate use criteria (AUC) and associated tools have been disseminated to help clinicians know when and when not to use echo. New data (J Am Coll Cardiol 2016;67[5]:502-11) now suggest that we should set our sights not on overuse of echo but rather on ensuring it is not underused.Upside down?The study that may have turned perceptions about echo utilization upside down was performed by Alexander Papolos, MD, and colleagues at Mt.
