The event will be at Mather High School 5835 N. Lincoln in Chicago On October 28th, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., the Inaugural Chicago Immigrant and Refugee conference and resource fair at Mather will take place at Mather High School in Chicago. This event has been supported by a grant from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. At the conference, we w
ill welcome organizations from the Chicagoland area who work to support the local immigrant and refugee populations. Part of the day on the 28th will be a resource fair where local organizations will be able present information to participants. We will be targeting students, families and community members from the North and Northwest sides of Chicago for attendance. Participating organizations in this event include include, Lurie Children’s Hospital, Northern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Chicago, DePaul University, Northeastern Illinois University, Asian American Services, Illinois ACLU, Archdiocese of Chicago, Have Dreams, National Immigrant and Justice Center, Chicago Teachers Union, Assyrian Universal Alliance Foundation and the Indo American Center.
