This video, Still Here, Still Fighting, is dedicated to every Black and Brown woman who’s a survivor, still in the fight… and to the newly diagnosed.

This is just one piece of what survival looks like.
Even when treatment ends, the journey doesn’t.

This is a glimpse into my world—a small window into the physical, emotional and mental weight I carry every day.

But remember this:
Giving in to what you’re feeling isn’t giving up… it’s making room to heal and so that you can move forward.

Stay in the fight. 💪🏾💖

Good afternoon, Facebook fam!

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted, but you know how life keeps on lifin.

First things first, thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes, messages, post, and love my way. I felt it all, and I truly appreciate you!

A special shout out to Angela: 

Sis, thank you SO so much for coming out to the Kroc center to spend time with me on my birthday and to hear my breast cancer story and witness what Livin’ Through the Lenz is all about. Your presence meant the world to me and I appreciate you 💗

My message to you:

To anyone walking this path or similar challenge, don’t give up, your story isn’t over! You are not alone, and every scar, every tear, every victory, big or small MATTERS.

Hello, survivors and supporters!

On Saturday, I had the privilege of attending a breast cancer gala for the Tatisa C. Joiner Foundation alongside my butterfly, sisters. It was an inspiring experience to see so many people come out together and support a breast, cancer awareness.

This gathering reminded me of the strength within our communities and the importance of sharing our stories. Our support uplifts those badly breast, cancer and fostering awareness and advocacy for change.

Let’s continue to shine the light on this cause, and powering one another, and making a difference together. Thank you for being part of this journey!

Breast Density: A key factor in breast cancer detection.
Did you know many women are unaware of the crucial role breast density plays and breast cancer, diagnosis and screenings.
What is breast density? Breast density is categorized into four types: A, B, C, or D. Each category has implementations that includes visibility, mammograms, and potential breast, cancer risk. Dense breast has less fatty tissue and more connective and glandular tissue, making cancer more challenging to spot in mammograms.
It’s important to know that mammograms are less effective and detecting cancer in dense breast, missing over 50% of cancer. Knowing your breast density can guide you and your healthcare provider to consider additional screenings for better detection.
