Eight Alden representatives, including our President Randi Schlossberg-Schullo, attended the first-ever Women’s Luncheon hosted by the Democratic Party of Illinois.

Special guests included Illinois Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and Wisconsin Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez, who shared their inspiring journeys into public service and insights on women in leadership.

We were proud to strengthen connections with elected leaders, including Party Chair Lisa Hernandez, a long-time Alden Champion whose district includes two Alden communities.

Meaningful conversations around healthcare, leadership, and policy made this a powerful and productive event!

Alden Network leaders had a fantastic time attending the 9th Annual Forum on Post-Acute, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living!

Our nurses and administrators enjoyed gaining valuable insights from incredible speakers like Bette Lawrence-Water, who spoke on civility in the workplace, and Lorena Amarillo, who shared important strategies around emergency preparedness. These sessions were not only informative — they were empowering.

In addition to earning CEUs, our team loved connecting with fellow professionals and exploring innovative solutions from the many vendors in attendance. Events like this help us grow, learn, and continue to deliver the highest standard of care across all Alden facilities.

🎉 Our Princeton team gave "boots on the ground" a whole new meaning this week — CNA-style! 👢💃

We spent the week celebrating our amazing CNAs, the heart and soul of our care team. 💙 Their compassion, dedication, and love for our residents never go unnoticed — and we couldn't do it without them!
From Twin Day to Jersey Day, we had a blast with fun themes and activities all week long. And to top it all off, we wrapped it up in style with a group performance of the boots on the ground line dance!

The Alden Avengers were out in full force this past weekend at the 31st Annual Gibbons 5K Run & 3K Walk, proudly representing the Davidson-Brin Chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation!

It was a beautiful day to come together, raise awareness, and support the fight against blood cancers. Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, donated, and cheered us on — your support means the world as we work toward a cure!

We wrapped up an amazing and fun week of celebrating Skilled Nursing Care Week with our phenomenal staff and residents!

Each day brought something new—color themes, twinning outfits, and spirited dress-up days like Army Fatigue Day and Animal Print Day! Our staff and residents showed off their creativity and community pride all week long.

And of course, we kept everyone well-fed and smiling with a delicious BBQ, a visit from the taco truck, and build-your-own ice cream sundaes to top it all off! 🌮🍦

A huge thank you to our amazing team and residents who made this week unforgettable. We’re proud to celebrate the heart and soul of our care community!

Skilled Nursing Care Week Spotlight 🌟
We couldn't be more excited to celebrate the amazing people who make each of our facilities feel like home.

Meet Samuel Oluwadare, one of our incredible team members who began his journey in the U.S. in 2004, arriving from Nigeria with degrees in agriculture and photography. While photography was a passion, the desire to make a direct impact led to a new path in healthcare.

Starting as a CNA, he found purpose in providing hands-on care to elderly residents. That foundation — built on empathy, resilience, and service — inspired him to pursue and earn his LPN certification in 2018. Since then, he continued to deliver compassionate care as a nurse in long-term care.

Outside of work, Samuel is an ordained pastor, serving his community with devotion and heart.

We are so grateful for the passion, care, and leadership Samuel brings to our team.

Skilled Nursing Care Week Spotlight 🌟
This week, we’re celebrating the people who make up the fabric of our nursing home — and today, we’re honored to highlight one of our incredible residents, Harriet Johnson.

Harriet spent part of her career as an administrator at BCS Financial Corporation before retiring and opening her own college prep school — a testament to her drive and dedication to education.

After becoming ill a few years ago, Harriet became part of our Princeton family. She is a minister and Bible study teacher at Everybody Bible Church, where her faith continues to inspire those around her.

One of Harriet’s favorite activities is swimming, but what she’s most grateful for is the support she receives here:

“I’m so thankful to the staff for getting me up and ready for church — always looking my Sunday best.”

We’re honored to celebrate Harriet and her unwavering spirit this Skilled Nursing Care Week.

The Alden team had an incredible presence at this year’s 63rd Annual WHCA/WiCAL Spring Conference and Expo in Green Bay!

Not only did everyone look amazing in their Alden gear, but the camaraderie amongst everyone was spectacular. Our team got the chance to network with fellow long-term care professionals and attend educational sessions ranging in topics from Improving Post-Acute Transitional Care Management to Leadership Insights and Virtual Reality Dementia training. From a sizzling and soulful Hibachi dinner to going home with cash prizes, it’s safe to say the Alden team had an amazing time from start to finish!

As the saying goes, when you look good, you feel good! We decided to bring some extra fun to our community by hosting a fabulous fashion show! Our residents took center stage, turning Princeton into a vibrant runway as staff and residents lined the room to cheer them on. With the emcee introducing each model, our residents had a blast strutting their stuff in everything from sporty and chic to casual and formal outfits! 👗👚✨ It was a day full of laughter, style, and confidence!

Yesterday, we hosted our first annual Ride for Research event with CYCLEBAR, benefitting the Davidson-Brin chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation! Not only did the Alden team enjoy an invigorating 45-minute classic ride, but we were able to raise $1,450 for Leukemia research!

Thank you to our wonderful Alden family for all the donations, support, and participation. You truly made this event memorable! We'd also like to thank the CycleBar team, and our instructor, Danielle, for a fun ride!

Nothing beats breaking a sweat and pedaling for a purpose. Until next year! 🚴‍♀️

Another year of spreading holiday cheer with our annual Turkey Drive – officially in the books!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this year's Turkey Drive supporting children and families of El Hogar Del Nino a success!

This is our fourth year working side-by-side to ensure families enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkeys and grocery bags filled with essential food items. We had an incredible day, and partnering with a fantastic team is always a pleasure.

From the support of local leaders like Alderman Byron Sigcho Lopez 25th Ward Office to the fun we had working together and the smiles we saw on the faces of families, this event truly embodied the spirit of giving and community.

Here's to many more years of partnership and making a difference.
