Patience is not sometimes I’ve been known to have much of. In days way past, I used to describe myself as living life at 80 miles an hour . . . the foolish fantasy of an ambitious young man. Then along came Transverse Myelitis with its inability to predict any timeframe for recovery. Its almost as if TM was given to me as a life adventure adapted to teach me the value of patience, the joy of the journey. This morning I could wiggle the toes on left foot all by myself . . . it’s been months since I’ve seen this small miracle. This is what can happen when we give time, time.
