🩸 Tourniquets Save Lives: Vansh Patel’s Story (shared via StopTheBleed.org)

What should’ve been a night of celebration changed everything. After a serious car crash, Vansh Patel was ejected from the vehicle and critically injured. His survival came down to one thing — a friend who remembered their STOP THE BLEED® training and used a tourniquet to control his bleeding.

Vansh lost his dominant arm and a close friend that night… but he turned his pain into purpose. 💪
Now, he teaches others how to STOP THE BLEED® and is studying pre-med — even designing a tool to help amputees fish again.

His message is simple but powerful:
“Tourniquets save lives. You never know when you’ll need one — but if you do, knowing how to use it could mean everything.”
